A tranquil, traditional Spanish haven in the mountains - many claim it but you will find this description is true of Chato Rincon. You can book a lesson to learn how to cook Spanish dishes whilst you stay and even have a traditional Spanish night at the house where everything is delivered to your door!
The house is very large with 7 bedrooms yet 2 people can holiday there happily as the layout is comfortable and doesn't feel too large. The kitchen is a 'country kitchen' where you can cook whilst friends sit at the table or sit and watch one of the 3 TVs with English satellite. If you need to work you can hook up to the Broadband internet connection.
The house has two huge outside dining terraces and uninterrupted mountain views. Candlelight will set your evening BBQ and the pool is heated so midnight swims under the stars are a must! You can take Champagne on the bottom terrace listening to the birds and watching the sunset whilst a constant cooling gentle breeze passes by.
Suitable for 2 families or friends or just one family that seek culture, calm and easy accessibility to the beaches. Also suitable for those who love walking, swimming, horse riding, wine tasting and experiencing 'real Spain'.
The beach is only 20minutes drive away so decamping to the beach for the day with a picnic is no problem! In the local town of Hondon de Las Nieves you can visit the Bodega (wine producer) and sample wines and have paella if you would rather you can just sit in the small square and sip sangria.
It really is as fantastic as it sounds - we lived here for over 2 years and have done all these things we provide details on everything to do locally to ensure you don't miss any of the wonderful things this area has to offer. The house is designed with taste and comfort in mind all beds are comfortable and rooms a good size... no camp beds or 70's cheap decor can be found at this finca!

The Costa Blanca area of Spain is located approximately half-way along the east coast of Spain. The area is a very popular tourist destination because of its excellent weather and climate and the many superb beaches which stretch for miles and miles along the coast. The coastline is flanked by coast and mountains making it possible to experience two types of holiday in one!
South of Alicante are a number of coastal beach resorts. Firstly Santa Pola (20mins from Aspe), La Marina (20mins from Aspe) and Guardamar del Segura (35 mins from Aspe). Inland towns of note are Elche (or Elx) famous for its many palm trees, Orihuela, Ontinyent and Aspe. There are many golf courses near Aspe the closest being 15 minutes away and there are 8 within 1 hour away.
Places worth a visit include Guadalest it is an extraordinarily picturesque and serene Spanish village balanced on a mountain ridge on the foothills of the Sierra de Aitana. It can be found 25km inland from Benidorm and about a one hour drive from the house is Aspe. The unique village is a key tourist attraction because of its charm, incredible views and the intriguing ruins of the village's notoriously inaccessible castle.
Murcia is only 25 minutes in the car and is a historic town with many architectural buildings.
Aspe is a very traditional quaint town, located in the mountains, however only 10 minutes from the large town of Elche. You can reach almost anything you want including shopping centres, waterparks, beaches, golf clubs within 30 minutes of Aspe. In Aspe there is a beautiful church in the main square and another square where you find a lovely park and fountain and an everyday indoor food market.
The town is 'real Spain' and there is nothing better than sitting in the main square taking tapas and drinking sangria! In August there are many fiestas and the whole town comes out most evenings to see all the different events -it is very atmospheric!
The house has easy access to Aspe and it may be traditional but you will find many bars and restaurants including Chinese, Pizzeria's, an Irish Bar and the more traditional Spanish tapas bars.
In equal distance is the even more quaint town of Hondon de Las Nieves. Most of Nieves centres around the small square and on an evening many people sit in the square and take tapas whilst the children run around and play in the children's park area conveniently located at the bottom of the square. There is an Indian, English bar, fantastic pizzeria as well as 3 or 4 traditional Spanish restaurants and bars. In August there is a fiesta which is very special to go and see. There is also a beautiful Bodega where you can go wine tasting and get some Spanish food.
Elche is the nearest large town and it is famous for its huge palm tree forest. Elche has a history stretching back to ancient times. There are many shops and a large shopping centre along with bars, restaurants and an animal safari park. Today over 300,000 officially protected palm trees in the city lend it a somewhat exotic air.
The River Vinalopo runs through Elche and has several impressive crossing points. If you stay close to the river you are guaranteed to see the best of the sights including the Basilica, the Palcacio, the Museo de la Fiesta and the old town market. The tourist board can issue you with a street plan that has suggested routes marked on it to ensure you get the most from your visit. All over Elche are splendid buildings with intricate stonework and a fair share of statues and monuments.
