The apartment is ideally situated to walk to Princes Street (10 minute walk), Arthur's Seat (2 minute walk), Easter Road at the top of Leith (5 minute walk), The Royal Mile (less than 1 minute walk), Waverley Train Station (8 minute walk) and many more places of historical interest, not to mention the many great eateries and pubs in the nearby vicinity. The apartment lies in a quiet Crescent just off the Royal Mile which is the ancient route between Castle and Royal Palace. There are views of Holyroodhouse Palace and of the breath taking and infamous Salisbury Crags on Arthur's Seat - an extinct volcano in the heart of Edinburgh.

Edinburgh city centre is the hub of Scotland with rail, road, sea and air links allowing transportation throughout Scotland and beyond. This special capital city is approximately a 1 hour drive or less on the train from Perth where the 2014 Ryder Cup will be staged. Trains leave Waverley Station (which is a mere 8 minute walk away from this delightful apartment) fro Glasgow city centre at regular intervals within the hour allowing you to be shopping or taking in the architectural delights the city has to offer......don't forget to try a deep fried Mars Bar!! If you decide to hire a car there are numerous beaches within easy driving access or bus access which will give you a chance to sample the unique Scottish seaside atmosphere. Furthermore, a short bus journey will take you to Musselburgh Race Course where you can have a flutter on a horse over hurdles or flat racing, depending on the season.
Don't forget to take a train journey over the Forth Rail Bridge giving you dramatic views of the Forth Road Bridge and the brand new Forth crossing due to open in 2016, named The Queensferry Crossing.

This apartment is enviably situated just opposite the grounds of Holyrood Palace and literally seconds from the controversial award winning Scottish Parliament. The apartment is set in a small 1960's development and is ideally located for those wishing to explore Edinburgh on foot as most of the major sights are extremely close at hand.
Visitors will enjoy wandering along the Royal Mile and exploring the many small alleyways which are densely populated with attractive shops and restaurants. Alternatively, Holyrood Park is on your doorstep and the energetic can be at the top of Arthur's Seat in less than half an hour where the spectacular city views more than make up for the climb. You may like to have a picnic on a nice day and the apartment has a cool box/bag and picnic rugs for guests use.
