Bosa is a lovely small coastal town, charming and full of character, with the only navigable river in Sardinia, over viewed by the Serravalle Castle. Its historical centre has tiny medieval streets with pastel coloured tower houses as well as a cathedral and many smaller churches. A Romanesque church, San Pietro Extramuros, is located 1 kilometre further up the river inland from Bosa. There are several restaurants where to enjoy the local cuisine based on fish and seafood and plenty of bars where to taste a glass of the Malvasia, Bosa's lovely desert wine . The coastline nearby has many small cove beaches, with clear, clean turquoise water. Bosa Marina beach, just a mile away, is a long stretch of golden sand where you will find all tourist facilities, pedaloes and rubber dinghy hire, jet-ski and even a windsurfing club.
