The apartment has been recently refurbished to a very high standard – with lots of attention to detail to ensure you enjoy a very comfortable & refreshing stay. It has been awarded a 4 star rating by Visit Scotland and I'm delighted to have lots of great Trip Advisor reviews from past guests. It has uninterupted, open views to Calton Hill and its eclectic collection of monuments – and also another spectacular view up the Royal Mile, with Canongate Kirk & its cherry trees in the foreground. Visitors say you feel you are experiencing Edinburgh without even leaving the apartment!
The property has real Scandinavian oak flooring in the hallway and living area – and new carpets in the bedrooms. The furnishing is of a high quality contemporary style – with a few antique twists! We hope our guests will enjoy the design features and art in the flat.

There's a lovely, bright open plan (L-shaped) lounge, dining area & kitchen with 3 large windows giving the fabulous views mentioned above. The lounge has a flat screen TV; a DVD player (with some DVDs for your enjoyment); and a hi-fi with digital radio, CD player and i-pod docking station. There's a phone on which you can make free UK landline calls (use a calling card available from the shop next door to make international calls) and free wi-fi access. The brand new kitchen is fully equipped with everything we think you will need, including a full sized dishwasher.
There is a good sized double bedroom (with a king size bed) and a smaller one that can be set up with either 1 or 2 beds. One of the beds is a “small single” so best suited for a small adult or child. To be sure you have a good night's sleep in the centre of the city, we have installed secondary glazing in the bedrooms – it creates a wonderful sense of calm. A hairdryer and alarm clock are provided so you won't need to pack these. The modern bathroom has both a bath and a shower – and also a dual voltage shaving socket. Guests are welcome to use the separate utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer (washing powder provided).
Prices are fully inclusive of bedlinen, towels, soap, gas, electricity and taxes. There is a welcome pack provided with tea, coffee and a few other food/drink items for your convenience.

Dunbars Close Garden, set out in 17th century style, adjoins the property and provides both a beautiful tranquil spot to relax in and also contributes to the fantastic outlook from the kitchen and dining area windows.
The flat is on the 3rd floor of a traditional stone built property. There's no lift but the climb is worth it when you see the views!
A £100 deposit is required to secure a booking - with full payment due 6 weeks prior to your date of arrival.

Certainly, Edinburgh has a huge amount to offer the visitor - both in the city itself and within easy travelling distance There's beaches, quaint fishing villages, boat trips, open hills and castles & churches galore, within easy bus or train access, for a day away from the city. There's suggestions for daytrips in the Welcome Pack in the apartment.
Of course, within Edinburgh itself there's a huge variety of cultural / fun / active / historic experiences to enjoy - festivals, shops, galleries, museums, cafes, restaurants, bars, pubs, theatres, cinemas, live music venues, hills, parks, tourist attractions & guided walks... and more!
There are numerous attractions (including many free options) within less than 5 minutes of the apartment's front door - including the Scottish Parliament, Holyrood Palace (the Queen's official residence in Scotland), The Museum of Edinburgh, The Scottish Storytellers Centre and the magnicent wild, rugged hillsides of Salisbury Crags & Arthurs Seat (to name just a few!). Edinburgh Castle is just a 20 minute walk up the historic Royal Mile (tho' with many distractions en route!) and there are loads of fantastic restaurants, bars and shops in the immediate area. Princes Street is 10 minutes away, so you can see that the apartment is very well situated for full enjoyment of all that Edinburgh has to offer.
