This apartment is just 10 minutes walk from the historic market town centre of Chesterfield which is famous for its Crooked Spire and large market square. Just across the road there is an entertainment complex with cinema and restaurants.

Chesterfield is a welcoming town situated on the edge of the Peak District. There are a mix of high street stores and shops. There are many coffee shops, bars and restaurants and the town also comes alive at night time on the vibrant corporation street, a collection of wine bars and pubs.

The area is well known nationally for many tourist attractions, such as Chatsworth House, which is a 15 minute drive away, Hardwick Inn and Hall, Bolsover Castle, are very close by and the lovely rural towns of Matlock and Bakewell are approx 25 minutes drive away.

Follow trails and tracks to sleepy villages hidden among green hills and rippling river valleys and, every now and then, you´ll stumble across a stunning view, a fascinating garden or a stately home ­ from the majesty of Chatsworth to the Italianate gardens of Renishaw Hall. From Elizabethan splendour at Hardwick past the dramatic hillside ruin of Sutton Scarsdale Hall to the fairytale heights of Bolsover Castle.

Chesterfield is the perfect base to explore the peak district. Only a ten minute drive will get you to the border where you will see stunning countryside, or visit beautiful stately homes. If you enjoy walking then the peak district is a must visit area, You can enjoy short easy walks or participate in half day or all day walking experiences. The seasons are beautiful to experience whether its the warm summer or the crisp autumn and winter days, the changing seasons make the peak district beautiful all year round. Christmas events are all around the area and places such as Chatsworth House make it a place to definately visit even to just take in the beautiful christmas decorations and listen to the carol singers whilst drinking mulled wine.

You can also visit Chesterfield Tourist Information Centre for everything you need to know about the area. This information centre has won numerous awards for its building and customer service and will make sure you don't miss a thing during your stay in Chesterfield. It is located in Rykneld Square near the Crooked Spire in Chesterfield centre.
