Other walks with stunning scenery that can be found close by are Roseberry Topping, Kildale (Captain Cook's Monument) and Carlton Bank. The picturesque village of Great Ayton is only a couple of miles away, together with the historic market town of Stokesley. For those wishing to venture a little further, there are the picture postcard villages of Staithes, Runswick Bay and the bustling coastal resort of Whitby, all easily accessible by car and worthy of a day's outing.
