The upper double bedroom, with it's original beams, ark shaped ceiling and en-suite shower / w.c is particularly atmospheric. The second floor houses two single bedrooms and another double room along with a Victorian style bathroom The claw-footed roll-topped bath is, without doubt, among the most comfortable in existence! Surrounded .by the rolling green pastures of Northumberland, this tranquil village location is perfect for viewing Hadrian's Wall,, and for visiting the many Roman forts and museums along it's route. Haltwhistle, known as the Centre of Britain, is two miles away. Here you will find shops, pubs, cafes, an open air swimming pool and an indoor soft play area There are bus and rail links to Carlisle in the west and to Newcastle, with the fashionable Quayside, the Sage Gallery and the nearby Metro Centre, to the east. Hexham ,eleven miles away, has an excellent selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. A historical Abbey and jail (the first built in Britain) ,are located here. The University City of Durham is about 35 miles away. Beamish (open air) Museum is a 40 minute drive. As Incredible as it sounds; houses, shops, a dentist surgery, a school, a sweet makers and a bank have all been salvaged from surrounding locations .
