This bright and spacious two bedroom 1st floor apartment is located just a short walk from the city centre and and offers comfortable and relaxed accommodation close to all the city's main attractions.

Situated in the thriving upper end of Edinburgh's Easter Road, our apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay, with an excellent range of local amenities right on your doorstep and easy access to all the city sights.

The Historic Royal Mile and Old Town is only a 10-15 minute walk away, as is Princes Street and the New Town with a range of high quality shops, designer outlets and the National Galleries. Also close (5-10 mins) is the Edinburgh Playhouse theatre and the Omni Centre, which has a wide range of restaurants and bars in addition to a 12 screen cinema. The Palace and the Scottish Parliament are only 10 minutes walk, as is Calton Hill (views across the city) and Holyrood Park, where you can enjoy the countryside right in the city. Royal Yacht Brittania and the Harbour Area are 30 minutes walk or 10-15 minutes by bus from right outside the apartment.

On Easter Road itself you will find a range of good quality local shops all on hand including a specialist wine merchant, grocers, deli, award winning bakery and patisserie as well as a good choice of take out restaurants, pubs and a local supermarket. Buses run from just outside the apartment to all parts of the city and other attractions such as the Castle, Royal Yacht Brittania or the National Galleries are all easily reached.

The apartment itself offers spacious accommodation with a bright bay windowed corner lounge, 2 comfortable double bedrooms, a fully fitted kitchen and bathroom with bath and shower.

The lounge has TV/DVD, Stereo with Ipod dock and free wi-fi access for you to enjoy during your visit. Should you wish to eat in there is a dining table for six, where you can sit at the bay window and watch the world go by. The apartment is centrally heating throughout.

The apartment has two spacious double bedrooms. Room 1 has a double bed, while the second double room offers the choice of superking size or twin beds. Both rooms are well furnished. Sleeping space for an additional 2 adults is provided by a high quality sofa bed in the lounge. Duvets, pillows, linen and towels are all included in the rental and for longer stays are changed on a weekly basis.

There is a fully fitted kitchen with microwave, fridge freezer, gas hob and electric oven, washing machine and a range of utensils for your convenience. We provide free tea, coffee and milk for your arrival.

For younger guests a travel cot & high chair is available if you require for an additional fee of £10. Please advise us when you book.

The apartment is around 20 minutes walk to Waverley train station which is also reachable by bus from close to the apartment. A taxi from the train station costs between £5-£10. From the airport we are 30 minutes by taxi or you can get the tram to the city centre (30 minutes) followed by local bus (5-10 mins).

For those driving there is the added benefit of free on street parking immediately outside the apartment and on adjoining streets.

Check in time is from 2pm on the day of arrival. For check in later than 7pm there is a £20 surcharge. For check in times later than 10 pm please contact us to discuss your requirements. Check out is by 10 AM on the day of departure. Later check out times or early arrivals may be catered for if arranged in advance.

We will provide you with all details for arrival once booking is confirmed. Please make sure you contact us 7 days before your arrival to confirm the arrival time so we can arrange to meet you at the apartment, show you round, hand over the keys and answer any questions you may have.

The Edinburgh region

Edinburgh is a fantastic place to visit. The Old Town and Royal Mile include such iconic sights as Edinburgh Castle and the Palace (only 10 minutes from the apartment), while the New Town has a wide range of Georgian Architechture and fantastic shopping. There are excellent restaurants, cafe's and pubs and inumerable tours to help you enjoy the city.

Most of the city centre is easily accessable on foot however buses also cover all parts of the city. If you want to go further affield there are a wide range of tours leaving the city centre for places such as Stirling Castle, Roslin Chapel, local distilleries and further into the Highlands. Within the city you can also enjoy Calton Hill which has wonderful views across the city and right up to the Highlands, and Holyrood Park, both of which are only 5-10 minutes from the apartment. Edinburgh also has it's own beach (15 minutes by bus) as well as the Leith Harbour area with the Royal Yacht Brittania.

Edinburgh is not a large city and if you do want to explore the surrounding countryside then you can be out of the city in 15-20 minues.

Abbeyhill

The apartment is located within the Easter Road area of the city. This is a vibrant and distinct locailty with it's own character and only 10-15 minutes walk from most of the city sights, which make it a great base for a visit. There is an excellent range of local amenities and easy access across the city. Within 1-2 minutes of the apartment there is an award winning bakery, delicatessen, several cafe's, wine merchant, grocers, local supermarket, several take aways, pubs and restaurants. You are also only 5-10 minutes walk from Calton Hill and Holyrood Park, both of which are well worth exploring. From the apartment, you can walk to the foot of the Royal Mile and up into the Old Town, right through the historic centre. If you'd rather travel by bus, there is a stop to both the Royal Mile and the city centre from immediately outside the apartment.

From this area there is also good access to the east side of the city such as Leith Waterfront or Portobello beach.

The area also benefits from one of the very rare free parking areas in the city so if you travel by car you can leave it in the vicinity of the apartment while you explore the city.
