This charming 3 bedroom holiday home is located in a peaceful rural location, amongst the owners 50 acre farm. The impressive farmhouse was built in the 12th Century and mentioned in the Domesday Book. The private wing is set over two floors ; a beautiful inglenook fireplace and original beams fill the property with character. The stunning North Devon coast is just 2 miles away, waiting to be explored! The villages of Combe Martin and Ilfracombe are 3 miles away and Woolacombe just 7 miles. A great base for families, couples or friends wanting to enjoy a relaxing holiday in this beautiful part of Devon.
The downstairs lounge contains the impressive inglenook fireplace (guests are kindly asked not to light the fire). Relax in this homely room and watch the flatscreen LCD television with Freeview and DVD player. Board games are provided and internet access can be arranged.
A lovely kitchen located on the first floor has everything you could need for a relaxing self-catering holiday. Appliances include a dishwasher, fridge with icebox, oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, and a good selection of pots, pans, cutlery and crockery (including children's). There is a dining table seating 6 people, perfect for informal breakfasts or special evening meals. Should you need a freezer or washing machine during your stay you can use the owners which is located in a shared downstairs utility room.
Bedroom 1: Lovely double bedroom with quality furniture and a calming blue and white colour scheme.
Bedroom 2: Double bedroom with exposed stone wall and feature fireplace. A full size cot is provided.
Bedroom 3: Bunk bedroom with adult sized beds.

Enjoy long summer days in the enclosed lawn garden with patio area seating 6 people. The garden is located to the side of the house and accessed via a short path and 5 steps. A BBQ is provided as well as play equipment for children.

WALK TO - Walk for 30 minutes to reach the beach at the foot of Combe Martin. Combe Martin has something for everyone, including hours of fun rockpooling with the children, or kayaking in the bay (available to hire on the beach). Fishing, either sea or coarse, walking the South West Coastal Path which runs through the village, visiting the Wildlife and Dinosaur Park or Watermouth Castle, coasteering and rock climbing, horse riding and much, much more! A slightly longer walk (40 minutes) to Hele Bay Beach (set in a small sheltered cove in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Hele Bay Beach is a part sand, part shingle beach and has been awarded the Blue Flag in recognition for its safe clean waters), Cafe Beachside (offering a mouth watering selection from all day breakfasts, light bites, sandwiches, bagels, paninis, pizzas as well as freshly ground coffee and traditional devon cream teas).
For the rambler and walkers, nearby Morte Point is worth the climb, with stunning views of the Bay and out to Lundy Island. Exmoor National Park is only a short distance away, and has numerous heather-strewn pathways and wooded valleys to explore, whether on foot or on horseback.
CYCLE TO - National Cycle Network, Devon Coast Route 27. This is a wonderfully scenic circular route on the North Devon coast with a link that allows a start and finish in nearby Ilfracombe, and takes in two superb traffic free sections, the National Trust coast route beside the sea at Woolacombe Sands and the former railway path from Ilfracombe to Willingcott Cross. The remainder is along attractive minor roads through quiet villages and rolling Devon farmland.
DRIVE TO - Ilfracombe - a great day out, with great fish and chips! The Blue Flag Beaches of Woolacombe, Putsborough and Croyde are a short drive away. Inland are some outstanding Golf Courses, multiple heritage sights and the market town of Barnstaple. Explore the beautiful Exmoor National Park. Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, The Milky Way and The Big Sheep are all within a short driving distance. Spend a quiet day on protected Hele Bay beach. Cultural days can be passed at Arlington Court, Ilfracombe, Watermouth Castle, Lynton, Lynmouth, Mortehoe (mentioned in the Doomsday Book) and many more. Willingcott Golf Course is a mere 3 miles down the road. Finally, picturesque walks through beautiful forested areas and running rivers such as at Watersmeet will complete your wonderful stay in this beautiful part of England.
