3 minutes from the beach without any road to cross. Air conditioned. TV. One convertible bed for two and two independent bunk beds. Facing the Diamond Rock and located near a slavery memorial, along the longest beach in Martinique. Self-catering possible, but a creole snack has just opened at the entrance of the residence. The town 15 minutes away by the beach or 3 minutes away by car. Quiet and decidedly sunny. Parking place available for a car to tour the island.

When I am not around, you are welcomed by the owner of the snack and the first breakfast is complimentary.

No wifi, and, so very restful. Try a week without TV(though a flat screen TV is available) nor mobile but with plenty of energetic sea waves. It works.

The four guests mean 2 adults and two children.

All the best.

The Martinique region

French speaking island with all amenities so the living is French styled in a Caribbean setting. Museums based on the island history are to be visited in Fort de France but also throughout the island. Places of interest related to local productions. Music suffuses life in the streets of the capital city Fort de France, where you must not miss the daily market, the sea front, and the Savane for the souvenirs stalls.

In the Northern part of Martinique, you may want to walk up the Montagne Pelée, a volcano very much alive, and hike along the many trails.

Le Diamant

The studio is facing the beach and is 3 minutes away by car from le village du Diamant. It is a quiet place, air conditioned, and ideal for a couple with two children. A few restaurants are close-by and a parking place is available.

From the beach you can see a slavery memorial and the story of an Amistad like boat. The memorial is about 15 mn away on foot.

The viewpoint is fabulous on the road that goes along the coast, and you can explore small villages along and go snorkeling near the rocks, or explore the numerous beaches of the island. The ones of the Trois Ilets or Sainte Luce are alos good for snorkeling.

Local bands can be heard, and traditional music and dances enjoyed; Just check at the information center when going to Le Diamant village.

You can also enquire there for Scuba-diving, surfing, sailing or fishing sessions.
