Arkle Town is situated around 3 miles north of the picturesque Swaledale town of Reeth. Walks and quiet country lanes can be found in every direction from Arkle Town making it the perfect base for walkers and cyclists. Artists and photographers will enjoy the wild flower meadows and pretty riverside walks along the River Swale. The local inn at Langthwaite is just half a mile from the cottage, and the popular CB Inn serves good food and is less than a mile to walk to. Reeth is a delightful town with amenities including a bakery, shop, post office and various gift shops and galleries. The market towns of Hawes, Leyburn and Richmond are all within half an hours drive and well worth a visit.
