The setting is peaceful agricultural countryside, mostly meadows and woodland with acres of Sun flowers or other crops, depending on the time of year. Wild Acacia offers a peaceful base for those who are looking for a quiet private get away from it all, holiday or as a comfortable base for touring. The local area is excellent for walking, cycling, canoeing and bird watching. There is fishing available in various rivers locally. There are little used but well maintained outdoor tennis courts in the village and boules is usually played on Tuesday and Friday afternoons on the village square.
It's about half a mile to the village of Beaulieu Sur Sonnette where there is a small shop and a Post office. You are ten minutes from a well stocked supermarket in nearby champagne Mouton. This is country life at its best and a place to relax, unwind and enjoy yourselves in a safe peaceful and private environment.

Mostly Agricultural but with plenty to offer for Art, Music history and Architecture to name a few. There are markets during the day and sometimes at night and during the summer months it is not difficult to find towns and villages with free open air concerts or dancing in the streets with street vendors galore. There's plenty to do in this picturesque part of the world and here are a few suggestions...
The taste and tours in Cognac and have fun on a Gaberre (Flat bottomed boat)
The Velo-Rail in Confolens (try 'U' tube?)
The beautiful village of Aubeterre-sur-Dronne with it's vaulted underground church and restaurants.
The hilltop town of Angoulême including the classic car race round the Ramparts each September
La Rochefoucauld château and restored mills.
The Lakes of the Charente
Wineries and wine tasting tours
Take to the water and canoe or hire a boat on the Charente, it's a beautiful river with lovely towns and countryside on route.
The nearest village is Beaulieu about a mile away; it is a quite sleepy sort of village set in the heart off the Charente. It has it's own friendly village shop open each morning and there is a supermarket open seven days a week in Champagne Mouton about ten minutes away. Nothing much seems to happens in Beaulieu, locals play boules on the village square on Tuesdays and Fridays but generally the village has a timeless air to it which may remind some of us of times gone by.
This is life in the slow lane, rustic, quiet and the place to ramble or cycle in a safe environment. There are excellent affordable restaurants and bars within a shortish car ride and lots of unspoiled countryside to lose yourself in on your doorstep if you want to.
