Paris, a cultural getaway or a family trip to Disneyland ...
Completely enclosed in its ring road, both a visual and loud one, Paris has two green lungs (the Bois de Boulogne and Vincennes). Heart-shaped, one can also see Paris has a stocky silhouette as it's wider (12 km East to West) than tall (9 km South to North), shapes through which ribbons river Seine.
Paris is a very small capital, less than 87 km2, when Madrid is 607 and Moscow 879 - where everything is concentrated: 20,000 inhabitants per km2, when Marseille, France's second largest city is 3,300. It is here, on this small enclosed area, where precisely 2,144,700 Parisians live, that beats the heart of France.
The apartment is close to the Trocadero square (400 m) where you can enjoy one of the world's most amazing and unforgettable views (on the Eiffel Tower). The Arc de Triomphe is also very close by with the Champs-Elysees (800 m), the world's most beautiful avenue, and the Place Victor Hugo (600 m). Metro station is 200 m on the Avenue Kleber.
At 400 m, the Place du Trocadero and the Eiffel Tower, the capital's tallest building, its loyal, century old warden and arguably the world's most popular silhouette. Its muddled metallic girders and its elevators have carried millions and millions of visitors ... An engineering art that has enchanted the world, having been heavily criticized when it was being built back in 1880s! The surrounding district is up to its standards, if not in size, at least in prestige: the imposing Palais de Chaillot and the gardens of the Champ-de-Mars offer it the best surroundings to wander around.
At 800 m, the top of the Champs Elysees, Arc de Triomphe is the center of the Place Charles de Gaulle, which opens on 12 avenues, perfectly symetrical. The Arc de Triomphe glorify the Grand Army. Inspired by the Ancient Greek, the Arc de Triomphe is of colossal dimensions: 50 m high and 45 m wide. A tour of the Arc de Triomphe enables the visitor to capture the harmony of proportion and balance that emerges from the statues: great men represented throughout the building reflect a few centuries of history.
At 600 m, Victor Hugo and Avenue Victor Hugo aligned one after the other fronts of the prestigious brands (jewelry, fashion) that are the hallmark of Paris Place.
Avenue Montaigne and its prestigious shops are within walking distance too.
