Cosy house in lovely village with many thatched cottages, a welcoming pub, river and working watermill. The beach is 1km away.

This lovely house has a beautiful new conservatory which looks out onto a large garden, providing a relaxed dining or seating area. This leads out onto the pretty patio with many plants; there are table and chairs and sunshade. The garden has a play area with a large enclosed trampoline to keep children happy bouncing, there are also swings, a rope ladder, and a hammock to while away a few peaceful minutes watching the buzzard overhead. From the garden you can wander up onto the hills for a fantastic view.

This holiday house in a beautiful thatched village on the banks of the delightful river Otter. There are lovely walks along it where you may be lucky enough to see a kingfisher. The village is less than a mile to the nearest beach and there are many other stunning beaches and coves to explore within a short drive.The village has a welcoming family pub, and an award winning watermill with bakery, cafe and art gallery both only a few minutes walk.

The Devon region

Devon is a popular holiday destination because it is so beautiful and has a great variety of landscapes. There are the remote hills of Exmoor and Dartmoor, river valleys, and amazing hidden beaches to be explored. There is something different to do every day and something to suit every visitor, whatever, their age.


East Devon is a wonderful area to visit because it has fabulous beaches and countryside. It is quieter than some of the other tourist areas and easily accessible( motorway 15 minutes).

There are lots of days out, too many to list, here are some great places to visit; Bicton Park,( indoor and outdoor childrens' play areas, gardens and mini railway) Crealy adventure park ( small theme park, great for kids) . Seaton Tramway, Peacorama( mini steam trains and play areas) and many other great days out within a short drive.

There are plenty of sports and outdoor leisure activities, canoeing, windsurfing, sailing, body boarding, cycling, golf and mini golf, climbing and horse riding are all available locally.

There is a great selection of beaches within 5km,The nearest beach is Ladram 1km away; Exmouth has miles of sandy beaches and attractions, Budliegh has pebbles and clear blue water on a calm day, Sidmouth has sand and pebbles and a lovely historic town.

Other activities include, river trips, there is a great cycle from Exmouth to Exeter along the Exe estuary, which you can walk or cycle along, There is a water park near Torquay, zoos at Paignton and Dartmoor and plenty of lovely places to enjoy a Devon cream tea.
