Torreveija is about 10 min drive to the beach.
There are two main airports, Alicante and Murcia (San Javiour), both are situated about 40 min from the villa.

•The villa has partial air conditioning, for those hot, hot days, situated in the main bedroom adjacent to a hallway and main living room and twin bedroom.
There is one other air-conditioning unit in the Den.

•The dining area is suitable for four and is situated off the main living room.

Torrevieja is in the region of Alicante, which is a city on the coast with a large marina and port.
It has a multitude of shops offices, bars, restaurants, historic buildings and much more.
It is about 50min drive and well worth a visit for a day out.
Torrevieja started off 100 years ago as a fishing village and has greatly expanded over the years as a large town.
The front line promenade has been recently re-tiled and refurbished. It always was full of character and now looks exceptional.
There is a port for private vessels and a public marina. Also fishing vessels, a ferry that goes to Tabarca Island. Definitely worth a visit. It is only about 60 min. It goes in the morning, you can spend all day there and back for evening meal. It has great historical buildings, a small community that makes its living from tourism and fishing, a beach, port and much more.
There is a good variety of shops, restaurants, ice cream shops, hardware, clothing, electronic etc.
There is a variety of nationalities of people the live here, possible because both the infrastructure and weather is generally very pleasant.
We are in an area called La Siesta, about 5 km from Torrevieja. There is a local bus service which goes to Torrevieja via Carre Fore, the local hypermarket, which is situated next to Habaneras a great shopping centre, with a wifi connection.
Lots of restaurants have Wi-FI and advertise the fact. I always ask anyway and get on line every day.
The houses in our area are of various models and builds, all private and owned by expats, holiday makers and Portuguese people, who are very friendly. Many of the houses are very large in large plots. It is quite unusual to see such a variety of housing in the one area, which makes it very popular to live in.
