This lovely, light property is no. 4 in a row of 14 pretty townhouses overlooking a large green area. It has a private tiled garden to the front with a table and 6 chairs. The garden is a sun trap in the afternoons so we have installed an awning to the front of the property.
From the garden you enter the lounge and dining area containing a 3 seater sofa bed, 2 comfortable chairs, a dining table which seats 6 and a large dresser with a portable stereo and ample books to choose from. The living room has a flat screen tv with satellite channels and a DVD player. Wi-Fi is also available. This room is air-conditioned and also has 2 ceiling fans.
Off the living room is a downstairs toilet and a spacious well equipped kitchen. Off the kitchen is a terraced area which we have enclosed to create a sun room with large glass windows that can be opened to allow in the summer breeze. We often use this room for reading/listening to music or eating breakfast.
Up the marble staircase to the first floor and you'll find 2 double sized bedrooms, a twin room to the right and a double to the left. Both have a chest of drawers, mirror and ample fitted wardrobe space. The main bedroom also contains a safe. Situated between the 2 bedrooms is the family bathroom which is fully tiled and complete with bath/shower, toilet, bidet, wash hand basin & mirror. Both bedrooms on this floor have hot/cold air-conditioning and ceiling fans.
Continue up the marble stairs to the third bedroom. This is a large room with high ceilings to the top of the property and has balconies both front and back. It contains 2 single beds, a wardrobe, chest of drawers and mirror. The great advantage of this room is the two patio doors that, when open at the same time, allow a breeze to flow through the room keeping it cool during the summer nights.
There is access to a shared gated pool which can't be seen from the property but is about a 75 metre walk away.
Beach towels are provided for our guests. For the comfort of all our guests smoking is not permitted in the property but you are more than welcome to smoke in the garden or on the terraces.

The Costa Blanca (White Coast) attracts tourists from all over the world mainly to take advantage of the sun, the sea and the beaches spread along it's 200 kilometre coastline. With over 300 days of sunshine each year and very low rainfall, it is the perfect location for a relaxing summer holiday or a well earned winter break. The Costa Blanca has some of the best beaches in Spain, many have achieved 'blue flag' status, are clean, safe and will often have life-guards on duty during the summer months.
If you are not a sun-lover the Costa Blanca has much more to offer and explore. Why not drive to one of the ancient Spanish cities like Cartagena and take a tour of it's impressive port and many museums. Alicante is only an hours drive away and has a fabulous marina and great shopping. Benidorm is also a great place for a family day out with the Terra Mitica, Terra Natur and MundoMar theme parks, always a bit hit with the kids.
Torrevieja is the closest city to the property and is approx. a 10 minute drive away. It is famous for it's salt production and is surrounded by two large natural saltwater lagoons that form the well-known "Salinas de Torrevieja", and are an official Spanish nature reserve. You can see the huge salt lakes on either side of the N332 on the drive from Alicante airport to Torrevieja. The lakes attract a wide variety of birdlife, especially flamingos and some people bathe in the salt lakes as they are renowned for their healing properties.
Torrevieja has many other attractions too. Take a stroll along the seafront and stop off in one of the many cafe's, tapas bars or restaurants lining the route. There is also a small daily market on the promenade, good for picking up gifts and trinkets. A few years ago a new walkway was built 'Eastern Dock Promenade' which stretches out into the sea and is 1,440 metres long. This is very popular for an evening stroll.
There are a number of boat tours available from Torrevieja and also the Delfin S-61 submarine, now a floating museum, is docked in the marina and something not to be missed!
Closer to home there are a number of commercial centres within walking distance of the property. The Emerald Isle is the closest bar/restaurant only a 2 minute walk away. In addition to the communal pool The Emerald Isle also has a large pool where sun loungers can be rented for the day. If you are someone who likes to be able to have a drink or buy lunch while lounging by the pool then this is the place for you. It also has a play area for children and lawn bowling greens.
The small commercial centre in La Florida is about a 5 minute walk down the street with approx. 5 bars/restaurants, a small supermarket, some other shops and a hair salon. Here you will find the popular Abbey Tavern which has a fabulous and very large beer garden out the back with a play area for children and live music indoors in the evenings. They also serve food and there is a taxi rank outside The Abbey for those who want to go further afield.
Within a 20 minute walk of the property are the Via Park 1, 2 and the Flamenca Beach commercial centres with more bars and restaurants to cater for all tastes.
The area is strewn with street markets taking place on different days of the week but the closest one is a large Saturday market in Playa Flamenca, about a 20 minute walk from the house and this shouldn't be missed!
A recent and welcome addition to the area is the La Zenia Boulevard shopping centre, the largest on the Costas. Here you will find all the big retailers H&M, Primark, C&A, Zara, Laura Ashley and many more. This is about a 25 minute walk from the house.
There are numerous golf courses in the area, Villamartin is the closest (a 15 minute drive) but courses in Campoamar, Las Ramblas & La Finca are also just a short drive away. For information on golf courses and fees in the area please see the following website www.thegolffactory.es
If you are interested in scuba diving there is a dive centre within a 10 minute walk of the house. They can organise dives locally and they run dive courses.
A ten minute drive will bring you to the beautiful safe, sandy, blue flag beaches of the Torrevieja coast with it's crystal clear and clean turquoise blue sea. The closest beaches to the property are Playa Flamenca, and La Zenia, about 3 km away. If you are willing to drive a few minutes further up the coast you will find the beaches at Cabo Roig worth the visit. There is also a fabulous cliff walk along the coast but the stretch between La Zenia and Cabo Roig is particularly nice.
We recommend hiring a car to get the best out of the area but if all you want to do is relax in the sun then is it not essential due to the many facilities and bars/restaurants within walking distance.
This really is a perfect base for sunbathers, families, couples, golfers or those who like to travel around and explore.
