The Old Bread Oven is tiny but full of character and charm , set in the grounds of the main house. The property is part of a small hamlet called Le Breuil in the Haute Vienne a department of the Limousin.
The cottage is surrounded by a lovely garden and looks out over the fields in which there are ponies and horses. Within the garden there are plenty of seating areas in both sunny and shady places with a large barbecue for use by quests.
The cottage consists of a small dining sitting area in which the original bread oven is very much a feature of the room. The kitchen and bathroom are also on the ground floor and a steep staircase leads up to 2 rooms on the first floor. These rooms can be made into one double with dressing room or 2 single rooms.
This property would suit a single person or a couple, who enjoy being part of a working smallholding and are happy with animals, enjoy walking cycling and exploring the many lovely lakes that our region has to offer. It would also suit someone who was interested in photography, painting or fishing.

Situated in the Parc Natural where there are many lovely lakes forests and signposted walks of varying distances for people who enjoy a short stroll or for enthusiasts who wish to attempt a day out exploring the countryside. There is also a lot of rivers and lakes for the keen fisherman.
This area is perfect for single people who's main interest is photography or painting, or just reading, writing and relaxing.
During the summer months the weather is usually hot so holiday makers can cool down in or by the lake situated very close to the property. During July and August there are boats to hire as well as horse-riding, or just relax in one of the bars or restaurants near the beach with many picnic areas.
Rochechouart is our nearest town, with a chateau and several restaurants and shops. During the summer months various different festivals are held which include a night market and a music festival called the Labryinth. There is also a tourist information centre which has information on festivals and places of interest in the surrounding area.
The area has many forests, lakes and rolling countryside and is the home to the famous Limousine cattle as well as the lovely Limoge pottery.
The main river is called the Vienne and is well worth exploring, we are also within driving distance to the Dordogne.
