The Duckhouse Bed and Breakfast is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the hamlet of Storridge, only 3 miles from Great Malvern, 20 minutes drive from Worcester and also the M5 motorway.

Our home, Bramblewood Cottage in Storridge, has a newly refurbished one bedroom 'Duckhouse' luxury annexe in beautiful rural Herefordshire. The annexe is separate from the cottage and overlooks our half an acre cottage garden and farmland.

The bedroom has a double bed, an oak floor, underfloor heating, WiFi, a stereo, mini-fridge, iPod dock and speaker, a flat-screen TV with Free-view, chest of drawers, clothes hanging space and tea and coffee making facilities. The en-suite travertine bathroom has a large shower, heated towel rail and luxury towels are provided. Bedding is provided and a fan, hairdryer and iron are available.

We live up a bumpy farm track off the main Hereford to Worcester road, with open access to hundreds of acres of woodland and farmland. We have a gravelled parking area.

Malvern has regular train links to Hereford and Birmingham and is only 45 minutes from Birmingham NEC and Cheltenham.

Continental breakfast in bed is included and lunches and evening meals are available from local village pubs or there are a wide selection of places to eat in Malvern, 3 miles away.

NB: Even though we have a dog, Lola, the Duckhouse has always been pet-free so should be fine if you are allergic to dogs. We also have ducks and hens, who are often spotted wandering around the garden.


The Duckhouse is unsuitable for children as we have an unprotected pond & stream. As the annexe is adjacent to our cottage, we can easily provide an iron and ironing board or any other household bits and pieces which you may need. You're are also welcome to make use of our washing machine (and washing line!).

The Worcestershire region

Storridge, part of the parish of Cradley, is settled on the Herefordshire/Worcestershire border. Malvern, 3 miles away, is famous for it's beautiful hills, Edward Elgar, water springs and the home of Morgan Cars.

Herefordshire becomes increasingly rural in comparison with Worcestershire, with it's beautiful rolling countryside and punctuated by farming communities. Hereford, the home of the Mappa Mundi is a 20 minute drive and it is about 30 minutes to the the Welsh border.

Storridge is a lovely hamlet, within sight of the Malvern Hills. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it offers fantastic walking and a wonderful break away from the hustle and bustle of town life.
