BRAUNTON FLORIN COTTAGE OVERVIEW

A beautiful character cottage tucked away in a quiet corner of Braunton close to the ancient parish church. Formerly a village inn, the building is now a 3 bedroom cottage with the added bonus of private parking. This delightful holiday home sleeps 6, combining authentic original features with stylish modern design.

The Tarka Trail can be accessed from the village which follows the Taw and Torridge estuaries. Close by is the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve of Braunton Burrows, the largest sand dune system in the UK as are the glorious sandy surfing beaches of Saunton sands, Croyde, Woolacombe and Putsborough.

LIVING AREAS

The beautifully presented living room has comfy sofas surrounding the attractive feature open fireplace (not for use). An attractive room with double aspect windows and deep sills crafted in oak taken from the original inn's bar! Two sofas and an armchair seat 6 comfortably in front of the stone fireplace. Relax and watch TV, put on a DVD from the selection provided, or pop your iPod in the dock provided. Books, games and a toy box will keep little ones occupied.

KITCHEN

A spacious kitchen with dining area is attractively fitted with beech units complemented by slate style flooring and a pretty stable door opens onto a small courtyard style patio area shared with the other two cottages. Appliances include a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, oven, gas hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, cafetiere as well as an excellent selection of crockery, cutlery and other kitchen utensils. A pine dining table seats 6 people and a high chair is provided.

BEDROOMS

A central staircase leads up to a spacious landing and three bedrooms with vaulted ceilings, all served by a separate modern bathroom.

Bedroom 1: Large dual aspect double bedroom with flatscreen TV, chest of drawers and a free standing full length mirror. The large double bed can be unzipped to create a twin bedroom upon request.

Bedroom 2: Double bedroom with exposed beams and a chest of drawers.

Bedroom 3: Spacious bunk bedroom with storage facilities.

A travel cot is provided.

BATHROOMS

Modern family bathroom with a large corner bath, electric shower above, wash basin and low level WC. Bath towels are provided.

There is a handy downstairs cloakroom with WC and basin.

OUTDOORS

A pretty stable door opens from the kitchen out onto a small courtyard-style patio area that is shared with another two cottages. There is an outdoor table seating 4 people and a BBQ perfect for warm summer evenings. Allocated parking is provided for 1 car, and further parking is available on a first come first served basis.

WALK TO - Braunton and surrounds is a great place for days out with family and friends. Many local restaurants and pubs offer a superb variety of food and entertainment such as Squires (great fish and chips), At One (Tapas Evenings), The George Pub (great local food as well as Thai Cuisine) and The Williams Arms (well renowned Sunday roasts). Entertainment facilities are available for all ages.

CYCLE TO - A day at historic Braunton Burrows is great. Cyclists can enjoy the 30-mile Tarka Trail tracking the scenic coastline of North Devon.

DRIVE TO – explore the beautiful Exmoor National Park. Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, The Milky Way and The Big Sheep all within a short driving distance. Cultural days can be passed at Arlington Court, historic Clovelly Village, Watermouth Castle, Lynton, Lynmouth, Victorian-styled Ilfracombe with its quaint fishing harbour and many more. Saunton Golf Course is a mere 3 miles down the road with its 2 famous links courses.
