I have a lovely 100 year old pretty cottage very close to central Cardiff available for short term rentals (minimum 3 nights) situated in Llandaff, Cardiff (it is not in Rhiwbina, Cardiff as this site states). The cottage is unusual as it is very close to the city centre, but is in a semi rural location.
The house is very good value for money. It is fully furnished in a cottage style with modern self catering facilities, two double bedrooms, bathroom with electric shower, comfy lounge with TV, open plan kitchen and dining room, garden and private offroad parking.
The cottage is close to all amenities, as well as the Taff Trail and local walks, Llandaff village & Cathedral, BBC Wales, local railway stations, bus routes, it is a few minutes drive to Castle Coch, St. Fagans Museum and 20 minutes from the famous Celtic Manor Golfing Resort.
There is a local supermarket in walking distance, and several shops, bars and restaurants in nearby Llandaff village.
The cottage is only 10 minutes from Cardiff city centre and everything it has to offer: the commercial business centre, Cardiff University, Cardiff Castle, the Millennium Stadium, great shopping, bars & restaurants and a few more minutes will take you to Mermaid Quay, the Millennium Centre and the Dr.Who Experience in the fabulous Cardiff Bay area.
To the north the beautiful Brecon Beacons and to the west the stunning beaches at Ogmore by Sea and the Gower are within driving distance.
The cottage is suitable for visitors to Cardiff, sports fans, families and professionals working in Cardiff who prefer a home to a hotel. A well behaved dog is welcome. The property is self catering and will require to be left cleaned and tidy.
[Use of the fold out single bed in the lounge for a fifth guest will incur an additional £10 nightly charge.]
Longer term rentals and price deals may be considered, though a bond & references would be required for longer periods.
Please contact about prices after 1st April 2015.

The cottage is situated within the city of Cardiff, though it's actual location in Llandaff is semi-rural.
Cardiff is a vibrant coastal city centre with extensive shopping and entertainment venues. It is easily accessible by car or you can hop on a local train (4 minutes walk from the cottage) which will take you to Cardiff Central Station - opposite the Millennium Stadium.
City, countryside, valleys, mountains and beaches all accessible from this location.
Events and attractions in Cardiff City are accessible by car and public transport.
Events and attractions further afield may require a car, or alternatively there are comprehensive bus and train services.
Although the cottage is in close proximity to Cardiff city centre (about 6 minutes by car), it is in a semi rural. pleasant location. There is a selection of local walks.
A local railway station, Danescourt, is close to the cottage, and allows easy access to Cardiff Central station. (no trains on Sunday). Alternatively, there are local buses and it is only a short taxi ride to the City.
There is a small supermarket and other shops in walking distance (5 minutes).
Llandaff Village, with its shops, bars, restaurants and stunning Llandaff Cathedral, is only a 15 minute walk away.
You can also walk south into the city centre via the Taff Trail, on the banks of the River Taff, arriving at Cardiff Castle and gardens (40-50 minutes) and the Millennium Stadium. From there you have access to Cardiff's excellent shopping centre, or you can pop down to Cardiff Bay via water taxi. A short boat trip over to the barrage across the bay is also available, plus other boat excursions.
You can also walk (or cycle) north on the Traff Trail to visit Castle Coch in Tongwynlais, or further. All these things are also accessible by car - Cardiff has substantial car parking facilities.
