The far West of Cornwall is known as the 'wild west' - it is rugged and rocky and a long way off the beaten track.
Cornwall is internationally renowned for it's beautiful beaches and countryside as well as its history.
The Penwith area is wonderful for walking, having hundreds ofcliff and inland footpaths. A paradise for nature lovers, bird watchers and archaeology buffs. The artistic life of Penwith is also very vibrant: St Just is home to many well known artists and crafts people and you can browse the galleries and studios here all day long. St Ives or Newlyn are both a short, scenic drive away.
St Just also has excellent cafes, antique shops, a second hand bookshop and several great pubs. Leave the car in the free car park and spend a few days just exploring the local area and relaxing.
