A pretty stone built 18th century farmhouse in a quiet location at the end of a no-through road with a superb heated pool overlooking the French countryside. Excellent facilities in both the house and the garden including BBQ , sunloungers and outside eating areas. There are 4 upstairs bedrooms. Two with double beds and two twin bedrooms. There is a cot and highchair available. Upstairs there is a small secure play area for children with a stair gate.Downstairs, there is a dining room to seat 8, a lounge with TV (BBC and ITV freeview),DVD player, a utility room. All linen is included and free Wi-Fi. It is an excellent base for touring the region or see the local attractions to suit all ages. Suited to couples or families of all ages or groups.
The farmhouse is self catering, self-contained and you have exclusive use of the heated pool. The pool area is surrounded by a wall and fence and the entrance has a child security gate. The owners live in an independent neighbouring property using a separate access road and if needed, will be available on site for any help if required and to service the pool and garden.

The farmhouse is in a peaceful and idyllic rural setting. We are situated in the Pays de la Loire, in the Mayenne department close to both Normandy Maine and the Sarthe department, There are plenty of local history, pretty villages, and rivers. Also,forests both to the north and the south and outstanding natural features such as the Alpes Mancelles just 5 minutes away. Join us for sightseeing, walking, cycling or just relaxing! For those who want some sporting adventure, we have a number of local extreme sports, such as bungee jumping, rock climbing, quad biking, paintballing and kayaking. We have tree adventure in two local areas.
If you wish to explore a little further, we are in a good location for interesting day trips.
Day trips - North coast - visit the Normandy landing beaches, Bayeux (Tapestry) or pretty Honfleur for fantastic fish restaurants.
St Malo - visit the Medieval walled town by the port, Mont St. Michel or the pretty village of Dinard.
Loire Valley - visit the chateaux of the Loire, wine tasting in the vineyards and see Troglodyte cave houses.
Paris - take a train from Sille le Guillaume with free parking at the station. Also, trains to Disneyland from here.
It is also possible to drive into Paris and park.
Le Mans - is situated 40 minutes away where car enthusiasts can see the 24 hour race track and museum. Or visit the historical old Le Mans with cobbled streets and timbered buildings. Le Mans races normally occur in June.
Sille Plage - (15 minutes) is a lakeside beach with restaurants, cafes and activities for all ages. Paddle boats, pony rides, tree climbing centre, crazy bike rides, tennis courts, train trip or lovely a walk around the lake takes about an hour and much more! Suits all ages.
Alpes Mancelle (5 minutes) - an area of outstanding beauty. The Alpes are renowned for many walking and cycling routes that attract all ages throughout the year along with canoeing on the beautiful Sarthe River.
St Leonard des Bois - (10 minutes) situated in Les Alpes, this very pretty village has cafes, restaurants, and a beer cafe. Beautiful walks overlooking the village. Canoeing, rock climbing.
Le Gasseau - (10 minutes) situated near St Leonard des Bois, has the tree adventure climbing (at different levels of ability) to suit children(from age about 7) to adults. Cafe, restaurant.area.
Villaines-la-Juhel (10 minutes) - has restaurants, bars, plenty of shops, a pharmacy and supermarket, swimming pool, indoor tennis courts and communal boules pitch. The town is a tasteful blend of old and new with modern art marble statues and handsome century old houses.
St Ceneri-le-Gereiis (15 minutes) - all the tourist books say that this is the 'prettiest village in France' The church sits overlooking the village and a short walk will enable you to watch the local artist at work. There is a very pleasant creperie, bar and restaurant.
Bagnoles-de-L'orne (50 minutes) - an attractive spa town by a lake with bars and restaurants, landscaped gardens and a casino.
St Suzanne - (40 minutes) a very pretty town with a medieval fortress. well worth a visit.
