The West Country region

North Devon is perfect holiday destination, whether you like walking, cycling, surfing, exploring the villages or visiting the sandy beaches, there's an amazing range of activities to suit families, friends or couples.

Torrington

The Stables is situated in a quiet and peaceful area. The village of Beaford is 2 miles away and it's just 5 miles from the Cavalier Town of Torrington, making it a convenient place to holiday, close to a huge range of amenities such as RHS Rosemoor Gardens and Torrington 1646.

You can watch glass being blown at Dartington Crystal before enjoying a traditional Devon cream tea in the adjoining restaurant. Family theme parks such as The Big Sheep and The Milky Way are a short distance away and offer families of all ages a great day out. Other interesting places to visit include Clovelly, a cliffside fishing village with steep cobbled streets leading down to the harbour. The market town of Bideford with its weekly pannier market, Burton Art Gallery, Victoria Park and historic quayside are worth a look.

For those who enjoy walking or cycling the Tarka Trail (a former railway line which runs from Braunton - Meeth) is nearby and offers a safe and level walkway for children and adults, with a few welcome watering holes along the way.

You also have sandy beaches nearby, including Northam Burrows and Saunton Sands.
