Woodpecker Cottage is a new, stylish modern holiday home that accommodates up to 4 guests in two bedrooms and affords spectacular views over the lake and fells.

Furnished and equipped to a high standard of comfort and style, you step into the spacious contemporary open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area displaying the spectacular views through large patio windows.

The family bathroom and bedroom 2 are also located from the ground floor.

A large patio to the front of the Cottage allows you to take full advantage of the sun and gives you plenty of space to relax or dine al fresco; a barbeque is also available for your use.

You can relax in the hot tub on the terrace and enjoy the vista.

Woodpecker Cottage is beautifully located for a self-catering cottage holiday in Lancashire, with lots to do right on the doorstep, yet with easy access to the M6. Blackpool and Lancaster are nearby; the Yorkshire Dales, Cumbria and the Lake District are all within easy traveling for days out.

If you like the outdoors; there is walking for all abilities including tramper trails, with wildlife in abundance, walking is a pleasure, whatever the weather. For those who like a break along the way, we are surrounded by beautiful villages with quaint tea shops, traditional pubs which can be planned into your walk to offer a welcome rest and maybe bite to eat.

Only six miles away is the small, pleasant town of Garstang, with lots of small shops and a weekly market on the High Street every Thursday. Lancaster is just thirty minutes away, and is a truly historic city with the Castle and Prison especially worth a visit, along with the Museum, Tropical Butterfly House, Dukes Theatre, and summer plays held in WilliamsonPark.

If eating out is your pleasure, there is a wide range of really good restaurants, including ones offering gourmet dinners, and traditional pubs within a few miles; many are suitable for children.

If you fancy the coast the Fylde coast is only half an hour away with many walks, the beach, many activities and characteristic places to look around the quirky shops and have a walk along the front, such as Lytham St Annes.

During the summer months there are many village fetes, country shows, and many Country homes with beautiful gardens which are often opened to the public, these traditional events and beautiful locations really show the character of Lancashire

And if you want to take a taste of Lancashire home with you, there are many traditional Lancashire farmers' market where the local characters will be only too happy to give you advice on how to cook your ostrich meat or to suggest what goes best with your chutney, talking of chutney we have the privilege to be the home of some of the county's finest cheese makers, you can have a look around, there is even the crumbly cheese walk, a steady 6 mile walk where you can venture
