May's Cottage was named after the lady who lived in it for most of her years. Whilst it was called Chestnut House, the locals always referred to it as May's Cottage. According to May, the gnarly Appletree in the garden is over 100 years old.
The entrance to May's cottage is through the sheltered gardens, then via a split stable door into a truly spacious kitchen fully fitted with oak units, electric cooker with oven, microwave, fridge freezer, and automatic washing machine. All utensils and crockery are provided.
A short step leads directly into the beamed-ceiling dining room with its original farmhouse flagstone floor, with an oval six seater pine dining table and sideboard.
The spacious lounge features the original marble fireplace, a three-piece suite with a flat screen television, DVD / video player. Double French doors lead into a sunny, south-facing garden with patio furniture.
An open pinewood staircase leads to three bedrooms, one King-Size double, one with twin beds, and a smaller single room - all with fitted carpets, wardrobes and storage.
The large bathroom has a cream suite, shower over bath, shaver point and airing cupboard.
The soft furnishing, paneled doors leaded light windows conserve the homely atmosphere of May's cottage, whilst full double glazing and central heating ensure modern comfort.

Heart of Somerset
Bleadon Village is a quiet pretty village with its own village shop/post office with a coffee shop adjacent that also serves light lunches and breakfast. You can sit and drink your coffee whilst watching the action on the croquet lawns opposite. There are three other places to eat in the evenings without the need to get in the car and if you like Indian food we have a very good restaurant that also offers a take out service.
Bleadon has plenty of footpaths and bridleways that you are able to walk dogs a map of which is in the information folder in each cottage. In the centre of the village we have a children's play area with a variety of swings etc.
The village church is 14th century very pretty and open to visitors in the day time. There are buses into Weston S Mare on a regular basis.
