Appletree Cottage - a much loved name for a country retreat, and an apt description for this 18th century hide-away beautifully adapted for modern-day holidays and living - even down to its own, gnarled appletree - they're yours, in season!

It's quietly positioned in Chestnut Lane in picturesque Bleadon tucked between the Mendip Hills and the Somerset levels, and with views to Brent Knoll, and the distant Quantock Hills. Yet just three miles away over the hill is the bustling Weston-Super-Mare with all it facilities for a varied holiday.

A split stable-door enters into the fully-fitted kitchen with oak -fitted cupboards, stainless steel sink and Italian-tiled floor, automatic washing machine, fridge-freezer, electric cooker, microwave oven. All utensils and crockery are provided. The kitchen leads to the country style Dining Room (with original flagged floor) warm and welcoming farmhouse table, chairs and original fireplace. Next is the south-facing Lounge, spacious yet cosy, with its cottage style furnishings, three-piece suite, flat screen television, DVD / video player.

A central staircase splits to the right into the main bedroom, with double bed, two large wardrobes, dresser, chest of drawers - and its own en suite, including a walk-in shower.

Turn left, past the airing cupboard with hanging space and you will discover a separate self-contained bathroom and toilet, with washbasin and shaver point. Adjacent is the second bedroom with twin single beds, triple wardrobe and dresser.

Appletree Cottage is tastefully decorated, with full central heating, leaded double-glazing and fitted carpets throughout. There is an integral garage, additional car parking spaces and well tended picturesque gardens. There is a patio area with table, chairs and parasol and reclining sunbeds.

All our cottages are now non-smoking with wifi available.
