Wales has many iconic areas but none more so than the much loved ‘valleys' in the south of the country. Ideally placed to explore this whole area is the beautifully presented May Tree Cottage. This 4 star graded renovated stone barn occupies a delightful spot in the peaceful and friendly village of Llysworney. Nestled within grounds extending to twelve acres, this pet-friendly (including horses!) property has two bedrooms and can accommodate a maximum of four guests in sumptuous comfort and style. All the accommodation is at ground floor level and is accessible to wheelchair users. The property has LPG central heating and off-road parking for two cars. In a holiday property that will be of undoubted appeal to a wide range of guests one of its definite attractions as a self-catering base is its charming, enclosed garden area complete with patio. This super, ‘chill out' area boasts both outdoor seating and sun-loungers, and of course guests are also welcome to utilise the wider grounds.

Further east Carmarthenshire also has lots to attract holidaymakers, with historic castles, mountains, rivers and of course coastline. Idyllic days at this property can come to a relaxing conclusion with a brief stroll to the highly-regarded local pub & restaurant which boasts a welcoming open fire. Further amenities are available in the nearby market town of Cowbridge approximately two miles away. Fishermen should head directly to the local fishing lakes which offer great sport. An absolute must on the sight-seeing list has to be a visit to the wonderful, capital city of Cardiff which can be reached in under thirty minutes. The shopping here is fantastic- Cardiff was awarded international shopping centre of the year in 2010- but first time visitors will also greatly enjoy the city's majestic castle and amazing museum. This region offers fine walking trails and the nearby coastal path is one of the most enjoyable. Golf is also widely available here with several highly rated courses close to hand. Mountain-bikers will enjoy a day at nearby Afan Forest which is home to the Mountain Bike Centre.
