Cranford Cottage was built approximately six years ago by a local builder to a very high standard. It sits on the end of a row of four cottages in the village of West Ayton on the edge of Forge Valley. It has been furnished to a very high standard and is a comfortable and relaxing base for a holiday. The cottage has a kitchen that you can eat in with all modern equipment which looks onto a little private court yard where you can also eat alfresco. The two bedrooms have hand made beds one with a king size bed and then two single beds in the second room. It has a family bathroom with a shower over the bath and the sitting room is very comfortable with TV and Wi-fi. From here you can visit so many places the historic city of York, Whitby with its traditional fishing fleet, the magnificent Castle Howard, and the wonderful North York Steam Railway which you can take to Goathland probably best know as Aidensfield in the TV series Heartbeat., or travel to the end of the line to Whitby.
