The quiant village has two pubs The Thirsty Farmer is child friendly and serves great food and also offers live music. Also available nearby is a village shop, a post office and a church. The Whimple Heritage Centre provides a wealth of information relating to the village history, including its renowned cider making tradition and world famous orchards.
The beautiful City of Exeter is located just a few miles away and provides excellent shopping, social and cultural facilities including the Royal Albert Memorial Museum. The beach at Exmouth is 20 minute drive away and Dartmoor, a 30 minute drive, is ideal for hiking, riding and cycling. The seaside town of Sidmouth is also just a short drive away, known for its week long folk festival in August. The market town of Honiton is also within a short drive where a warm welcome if offered to all visitors.
