In the foothills of the Sierra Blanca Mountains, not far from the coastal town of San Pedro de Alcántara, in the province
of Malaga, you will find the beautiful village of La Heredia, Benahavis. Regarded by many as "the best location on the coast"
and "the Knightsbridge of Spain", it is simply stunning!.
This fantastic Townhouse located in one of the best locations within La Heredia is very close to the one of the community pools and with fantastic views. This is a great property to rent for a family holiday, golf trip or just to relax and enjoy the stunning views and a glass of wine-or two!
You enter the property through an iron gate and into a hallway which leads you to a beautiful antique Andalucian front door. Location is everything when considering renting a property. La Heredia is in a fantastic location, being only 10 minutes from the famous Puerto Banus and 15 minutes from the glitz and glamour of Marbella and its fantastic beaches.
La Heredia is proud to have one of the best restaurants on the coast, La Casita. offering a wide range of the most exquisite home cooking with a modern gourmet twist. Opened in 2007 by Gordan Ramsey trained Chef. The restaurant was expanded and transformed at the beginning of 2011, creating a fantastic new dining experience, that again is hard to match anywhere else.
La Heredia also has a bar - "The K bar", a great place to meet friends, family and relax. A Bakers open 7 days a week, Cafe, and a top quality Butchers.

La Heredia is set 8km up the road to Ronda, from the Spanish coastal town of San Pedro de Alcantara. Built 850 ft above sea level it offers incredible views to Africa, the Mediterranean Sea, Gibraltar and the mountains and Golf courses below. This region is also known as the Costa del Golf, for it has many fantastic Golf courses all within minutes of of the village. Los Arqueros Golf - 5 mins, La Quinta Golf - 6 mins, Los Naranjos Golf - 8 mins and Las Brisas Golf - 10 mins to name but a few.
La Heredia is also situated 10 mins from Puerto Banus, 15 mins from Marbella 45 mins from Gibraltar 1 hr from Tarifa, with its stunning Atlantic beaches. My personal favourite - Bologna - with its incredible sand dunes which rise to over 200 ft, its crystal clear waters, the Roman village and Museum which sits right on the bay overlooking the Sea, must be seen.
Just 40 minutes drive away is the historic town of Ronda, known for the oldest bull ring in Spain being built in 1784 and its incredible bridge (known as the new bridge - although it was finished in 1793), which spans the canyon 120 metres (390ft) above the canyon floor.
The newly constructed Malaga airport is only 45 minutes drive away, as is Gibraltar Airport. With regular flights from all the major airports in the Uk to Malaga, you could leave your house in the morning and be on the beach for paella by lunchtime!
The Sierra Navada mountain range with its great skiing, is also only a two hour drive away from La Heredia. So you can literally ski in the morning and be on the beach by the afternoon,
The Málaga area enjoys a subtropical–mediterranean climate. It has one of the warmest winters in Europe, with average temperatures of 17 °C (62.6 °F) during the day and 7–8 °C (45–46 °F) at night in the period from December through February.
The summer season lasts about eight months, from April through November where temperatures can reach 40°C , and in the remaining four months temperatures sometimes still reach around 24 °C (76.0 °F).
Just a 10 minute drive from La Heredia in beautiful scenery you will come to Benahavis. This is a Spanish mountain village situated between Marbella, Estepona, and Ronda, where it is located seven kilometers from the coast. Renowned for its restaurants, it is often called the dining room of the Costa del Sol. Benahavis area holds nine of the 60 golf courses in the Costa del Sol.
At the end of the 11th century, Benahavis was founded by Arabs. Closely related with Costa del Sol's Arabic past, and particularly with Marbella, the district which it belonged to until it was granted the so-called "Carta Puebla" by Philip II in 1572. Montemayor Castle, built prior to the Construction of Benahavis, plays a very important role in the battles between the various Arab kings in Andalusia, because of its strategic position. It was disputed for many years by the military factions of the epoch. Its prominent location overlooking up to a hundred kilometres of seaboard, and even the African coast, was extremely useful at a time when piracy and invasion were commonplace. The town takes its name from Havis, who reigned in Montemayor Castle. To be precise, Benahavis is basically Arabic (Ben al Havis) and means "son of Havis".
