There are two main areas of the house. The main collection of trulli includes the kitchen with an open fireplace and a spacious eating/ cooking area. The beautiful oak table, fully extended, seats 10. From the kitchen a “passageway” carved through incredibly thick stone walls leads to the first part of the the three coned trullo area , the sitting room/ lounge with inset stone bookshelves and a coffee table. This leads to the second living area with a TV/DVD player, a room with a wonderful alcove seating bench, covered with cushions.
Apart from that there is a bedroom in the centre of the building (accessible from the courtyard) with a double bedroom (incl. shower) linked to an alcove type small room with two single beds ideally suited for childern.
The master bedroom, air conditioned, with a large ensuite bathroom incl. a stylish tub, is away from the courtyard with its own access and patio incl.a sofa for lounging.
Above this part of the building there is a first floor double bedroom- also air-conditioned- which is accessed by its own staircase from the courtyard. The room, also with en suite facilities, has its own large balcony area with marvellous views of the surrounding landscape and Ceglie Messapica in the distance. This part is very private and perfect for guests with no children.
The second part of the property, near the swimming pool, was once the stables and is made up of interconnected “lamie” with their characteristic vaulted stone ceilings. Here you find a double bedroom with its own ensuite facilities and a nex door single room plus another small double bedroom which share facilities. The stables are solid stone and therefore are relatively fresh and cool in the heat of summer, and cosy and snug in winter.

Grounds, buildings and courtyard
There is a badmington/ volley ball net and an outside ping pong table available for use.
This property was converted into a luxury home in 2001 by a well known Italian family. It is one of the most beautiful and impressive properties in the area. The reconstruction has been carried out with particular care, preserving the unique feel and character of this typical rural Puglian building. It is made up of a number of whitewashed trulli, including a traditional flat coned 'Saracens' trullo, and a number of ”lamie” stone buildings with vaulted ceilings. The buildings cluster around a beautiful stone courtyard which is surrounded by flowers, fruit and olive trees. The courtyard resembles an outside 'living room' area with a traditional wood oven and a charcoal grill.Leading from the courtyard to the garden is a wisteria covered pergola with a stunning stone table, from which diners enjoy a wonderful view of the grounds. These are bordered by old dry stone walls. There is also 12 x 7metre ! swimming pool, which for the safety of children can be gated off. The pool has its own toilet facilities.
A luxurious atmosphere is created by the space and layout of the trulli, gardens and courtyard. They give you a feeling of being on the “Lord of the Manor” on an ancient estate. In comparison to most other trulli, this property is extremely well laid out to give a ample space for everyone. The number of rooms, some of them in a separate tract near the swimming pool, plus the courtyard and a garden of 15 000 sqm with dozens of olive trees mean - there is peace and quiet for everyone even when “Sessana” is fully occupied. The approach to this jewel of a property is impressive and beautiful, whether set against a bright blue sky or fully illuminated at night. You cannot help feeling being in a unique and special place. There is a private gated car park set away from view of the trullo.-
The local towns of Ostuni and Ceglie Messapica
The area itself is regarded as a prime location embedded in an undulating rural landscape of olive, fruit and almond trees. The location of “Sessana” is perfect for easy access to all the nearby towns and the seaside. The nearest beach is a 15 minutes drive away. Views of the sea and the coast can already be enjoyed from the “white town” of Ostuni which is only five minutes away from Sessana. Ostuni is without a doubt, the most impressive town in the area, it is lively and buzzing in the summer time and has a great number of eating ad drinking establishments including one of Puglia's only Japanese restaurants. The old town with its two prominent churches straddles the top of a hill commanding some of the most magnificent views over the ancient olive trees that “carpet” the plain leading to the coast.
Ceglie Messapica is equidistant from “Sessana” and has a very different feel to the more lively and upbeat Ostuni. Ceglie, as it is called by the locals, is a small town with the standard attributes of all Itlalian towns, a central promenade and a piazza, tiny backstreets with local family run trattorias and osterias, small shops and a sleepy and rustic atmosphere which can definitely come in useful for a “simple”evening out, lunch or a shopping visit.
THERE ARE DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE FOR SMALLER PARTIES USING ONLY THE MAIN FARMHOUSE ON REQUEST
Nestled between Puglia’s towns and fishing villages are a number of small coves, hideaway lagoons and bathing platforms which lead into the enticing translucent waters of the Adriatic. The coast is dotted with pine-fringed coves and dramatic cliffs, it’s home to some of the finest and cleanest sands to be found anywhere along the Adriatic Coast.
As is characteristic across much of Italy, evenings in Puglia tend to revolve around the delights of a hearty evening meal. The Pugliese like nothing more than a good, home-cooked fare in the company of friends and family whilst enjoying a bottle of wine…or two! Café culture is equally popular, with locals chatting for hours over a cup of machiatto or a glass of digestivo liqueur beneath the star-studded skies of the Mediterranean. However, the region has its fair share of clubs and bars too, and during the summer months Puglia is particularly popular with young sun-seeking Italians, eager to party into the night, often along the beaches.
There are 4 vibrant towns less than 15 mins away with restaurants aswell as shops and bars
Ostuni is one of the most stunning cities in southern Italy famous for the dazzling effect of its whitewashed houses. It is a genuine and charming example of Mediterranean architecture.
The city of Ostuni is a series of levels, staircases, small roads, alleys, arches. Hints of the Middle Ages are at hand in every corner, in every view to the sea, in the portal of a palace, in the walls of a convent or the front of a church.
The brightness of its whitewashed houses, set against the pink-tinged brown of its principal monument, makes the town stand out in the green of the surrounding area. This happy combination of the natural and the manmade has made Ostuni one of the most attractive cities in the region and an essential part of any tour of Italy.
