Stroll down Porthmeor Hill for the perfect coffee in Porthmeor beach Cafe or wander along the cobbled streets to soak up the atmosphere of this beautiful town.

Entered through the private sunny courtyard where you can enjoy alfresco eating this beautiful contemporary property has been finished to an excellent standard.

On the ground floor is a modern open plan living area with comfy sofas to relax on and floor to ceiling windows to take in the sea view across Porthmeor beach towards the Island, St Ives Bay and the coast beyond. Or curl up on the sofa, pull the curtains and enjoy a movie on the wall mounted flat screen TV.

A well equipped and attractive kitchen with limestone floors and cream units is the perfect place to cook with the clever design meaning that even when cooking up a gourmet feast you have a sea view!

Upstairs the Master bedroom boasts a king size bed positioned so you wake to stunning views of the sea, beach, Island and Godrevy Lighthouse. The twin bedroom is light and airy with has two single beds, both rooms have TV and DVD player.

The luxury bathroom lined in limestone and with a fabulous double walk in shower, free standing bath and under floor heating is perfect for soaking away the stresses of life.

To the front of the property is a lawned garden and patio on which to enjoy the stunning ocean sunsets.

St Ives has a fabulous array of excellent award winning restaurants, numerous cafes serving great coffee. Famous for its artists The Tate St Ives is well worth a visit as are the numerous private art galleries - a haven for all artists, the light in St Ives is very special making it a perfect choice for all artists. The 5 beautiful beaches are safe and clean with Porthmeor being a great surf beach, it has a surf school as well as hire facilities, cafe and restaurant between Easter and October. Porthminster Beach is delightful and has the famous Porthminster Beach Cafe serving delicious locally sourced and lovely created food - a must for all foodies!

The harbour town beach is perfect for watching the world go by and the boats bobbing about in the water at high tide, not to mention the common seals that visit the harbour. Porthgwidden Beach is smaller, has a great restaurant serving breakfast on the deck is a great pastime and if you are lucky you may see one of the pods of dolphins that regularly visit St Ives Bay. Bamaluz Beach is a small rocky cove with sand at low tide.

If you can drag yourself away from St Ives you will find some lovely places to visit, during the summer The Minnack outdoor theatre which clings to the clifftop at Porthcurno is a great experience, the shows are popular and go ahead no matter what the weather and only 30-40 mins drive. Falmouth is a bustling town with Rick Steins fish restaurant as well as some great shops, boat trips and water sports. Penzance is the gateway to the Isles of Scilly where day trips on the ferry leave, the town has an eclectic mix of galleries and shops. Marazion boasts the majestic St Michael's Mount which you can walk to at low tide of catch the little ferry.

As for gardens, Cornwall has an abundance of wonderful gardens open to the public, Trebah is a favorite with a riot of colour and interest throughout the year, Glendurgan has a maze, of course The Eden Project is a must on your to do list - so many more gardens, too many to mention in this small space! St Ives is in a great location and never more than 30-40 mins from the south coast, Helford river, the far west of Cornwall with Sennen Cove or further north such as Padstow, Newquay, Fowey so a perfect place to stay.

The south west coast path is a 2 minute walk from the house so we are a perfect choice for those walkers wanting to explore the glorious rugged coast.

St Ives is a fantastic holiday destination and offers something for everyone with 4 main beaches, Porthmeor being the surf beach, the harbour beach is perfect for sunbathing or watching the world go by, Porthgwidden a small quite beach and Porthminster beach with its famous beach cafe restaurant.

With The Millennium Gallery, The Tate St Ives or one of the many wonderful art galleries to visit this famous town is an artists delight. Why not book some lessons at the Porthmeor Studios where regular painting classes take place.

For those who enjoy walking Beach Haven sits almost on the south west coast path, explore the dramatic and breathtaking coastline.

In May the St Ives Food and Drink festival takes place and is well worth visiting. In September the St Ives Festival takes place with music and art taking centre stage. Christmas and New Year are really special times and the town comes alive with the famous fancy dress street party on New Years Eve.
