The local bus will take you there, or if you enjoy walking, the stunning coast path takes you past Menabilly, Daphne Du Mauriers former home into Fowey. The nearby fishing village of Mevagissey has many suoerb cafes, restaurants and pubs and glorious scenery.. Deep sea fishing trips regularly run from here.

Par station is nearby with trains to Newquay, Penzance, Truro, Plymouth and London and Birmingham. With many country pubs, takeaways and cafes in Par area there's a lot of eating choices.

The cobbled ancient City of Truro, is about 20 minutes drive. The cathedral and cobbled streets plus the many independent shops are well worth a visit.Or take a boat trip from Truro to Falmouth, and see the spectacular views along the river Fal.
