The Isle of Wight region

The Isle of Wight provides the contrast from city life with over 150 square miles of countryside with rural villages, coastal beauty spots and beaches. The minute you step on the ferry there is a sense of "chilling out". For a stress free, fun family holiday the Island is popular all year round. It is the home of some of the most diverse countryside in the UK and is a stunning Island with unspoilt scenery and a sailing haven second to none.

Whether you prefer a leisurely stroll or something more energetic, you can discover historic farms, pretty lanes, thatched villages, coastal trails and woodlands. It is an easy way to find your way around, with over 500 miles of carefully maintained footpaths and signpost to follow.

West Wight, where the bungalow is situated, inspired much of Lord Tennyson's writingh - and who could not think poetically in the rural and quieter part of this beautiful Island.
