Sedgeford Hall, an elegant Grade II listed property, reputed to be one of the county's finest examples of the Queen Anne period, occupies a peaceful and secluded setting amidst 1,200 acres of glorious woodland and farmland which border the Royal Estate of Sandringham. Nestling in a sheltered valley, the West Wing consists of a large part of the owner's delightful Queen Anne home (although not overlooked by them) and has its own private garden and small meadow overlooking the beautiful Sedgeford Valley. There is also a magnificent indoor heated swimming pool with changing facilities and an elegant sitting area. The holiday property is over 200 years old and has been furnished and equipped to a high standard. Visitors to Sedgeford Hall may wander around the expansive grounds at their leisure. Just 5 miles to the north is the seaside town of Hunstanton with miles of sandy beaches with rock pools, majestic cliffs, a Sea Life Centre, amusements, water sports, tennis, croquet, bowls, golf, shops, restaurants and inns. Along the coast there are many delightful fishing villages including nearby Brancaster Staithe, Wells-next-the-Sea, popular Sheringham and Cromer (renowned for their fresh crabs and shellfish). King's Lynn (16 miles) offers shops, restaurants and a large leisure complex, with squash, football, cricket and a children's outdoor play area. Many people come to this part of Norfolk simply for its connection with the Royal Family. Sandringham House was bought by Queen Victoria and visitors enjoy public access to the house (except when the Royal family are in residence). Great Bircham is a 4-mile stroll, and the Peddars Way and Icknield Way are also close by. Locally there is indoor tennis, shooting, fishing and golf. Shop 4 miles, pub ½ mile.
