Anchor Cottage, Seahouses sleeps 6 guests in 3 bedrooms and is a tastefully refurbished and newly decorated property in Seahouses village within a 5 minute walk of the sea, harbour, shops, bars, restaurants and the many tourist attractions that this popular seaside resort has to offer. Based on one storey with a warming wood burning stove, comfortable and stylish furnishings, an enclosed garden with table and chairs, gas BBQ and even outdoor heating. The cottage also benefits from central heating so remains warm and comfortable whatever the weather. This cottage is ideal for families or a group of friends including guests with mobility difficulties. There is parking available off road for up to 3 cars.

Inside this single storey cottage, there is a cosy living room with wood burning stove and decorative stone surround fireplace. There are two large double sofas and a leather wing chair providing comfortable seating for up to 6 guests. The room also features lovely chunky wood furniture including a coffee table and matching sideboard which complement the wood flooring. There is a flat screen TV with Freeview and a built-in DVD player in the living room as well as the Master and Twin bedrooms as well as a Nintendo Wii Console to play with. There is Wi-Fi access in this cottage

The modern kitchen and dining room have lots of modern appliances to ensure meal times are as hassle free as possible. There is an electric oven and hob, a microwave, pantry and dishwasher. There is an extendable dining table with seating for 6. There is a back door leading out into the enclosed garden which has a lawned garden with patio area. Outside in the garden, there is patio furniture and a BBQ – great for eating outside on warm summer afternoons.

From the kitchen there is a utility room with a washer/dryer, coat hooks, ironing board and clothes airer.

The master bedroom features a king size bed with bedside drawers and table lamps. There is plenty of storage with a large chest of drawers and matching wardrobe with mirrors and flat screen TV with Freeview and DVD player.

The second bedroom is a twin room with a white matching wardrobe, bedside drawers with lamp and chest of drawers and a flat screen TV with Freeview and DVD player.

The third bedroom has a double bed with bedside table and lamp, a mirror and tallboy for storage.

The modern family bathroom has a white suite with bath and electric shower over, a WC and wash basin.


Lounge: Wood flooring, two sofas and a wing style armchair, solid wood coffee table and sideboard, Flat screen TV with Freeview and a built-in DVD player, Nintendo Wii console.

Within a short walk of the cottage are many attractions of Seahouses itself. The harbour is just a 5 minute walk and there are many pubs, shops and restaurants to choose from along Main Street. The Farne Islands can be reached by regular boat trips from Seahouses harbour. Great for bird lovers and geologists.

The historic town of Alnwick is only 10 miles away where you will find a thriving, historic market town with something a bit special! Even if you are not green fingered, a visit to Alnwick Gardens is a must, where you can stroll around the stunning gardens and waterfalls. Harry Potter fans of all ages should visit Alnwick Castle (or Hogwart's School) and relive some of the favourite scenes from the popular films.

The Heritage coastline is dotted with castles and villages and stunning beaches – ideal for walking all year round. The Cheviot Hills are only a short drive away offering superb views across to Holy Island and Lindisfarne. Alternatively, a stroll along the coats to Bamburgh Castle (only 1 mile away) or a visit to Holy Island are both ideal for a family day out.
