East Cornworthy Barton was built as a milking parlour about 200 years ago and was converted into a house in the 1980's. It has just undergone a superb and stylish resurrection into a beautiful holiday home and where Nancy the cow used to wait patiently in the corner is now a bright, light and comfortable sitting room with superb views across the garden. The entire finish is of the highest specification with quality fixtures, hand made furnishings and local art works and a woodburner to light. There are window seats and cosy chairs to curl up in, an open fire to light, and even a mooring for your boat! For the duration of your holiday the owners offer free boat launching and storage at Blackness Marine 1/4 mile away. East Cornworthy Barton offers something special to each member of the family group and was called 'a little slice of Heaven' by one guest last summer.

The Hunters Lodge in the village is a well known pub, known amongst visitors and locals for good food. On the edge of the village standing alone in a field is the remains of the gatehouse to an Augustinian Priory dating from 1231.
