Everything about this property is classically Tuscan. If you dream of typical Tuscany as breathtaking panoramas, misty hills covered in precision lines of vineyards, olive groves, gravel roads and driveways shadily lined with pointy cypress trees, and grand villas with green shutters, then dream no more, Villa Rosa is your reality. With Castellina just five kilometres away, you couldn't be more immersed in Chianti. Needless to say the owners are wine producers, and they'll happily provide wine tastings and meals upon request. They live in a separate house behind the villa.

The Tuscan villa is all space and solidity, high wooden beamed ceilings, regional paintings and antique tapestries, and not just 'a room with a view', but every room has a view! Outside also conforms to classic type: a beckoning pool set amongst olives trees, with a furnished shady gazebo for your relaxation; fronting the villa a large raised furnished terrace with typical columned stone balustrade – a long lazy lunch or genteel pre-dinner drinks here complete our picture of this Tuscan idyllic place.

ACCOMODATION: on the ground floor the hallway introduce you to the living room and dining room with large table. A second sitting room is also the TV room. The fully equipped kitchen has two dishwashers, oven and also a fireplace for your grilled meals.

On this floor there is a double bedroom with tiled floors and adjacent bathroom with shower.

There is a separate laundry room with washing-machine, ironing facilities, fridge and freezer.

The first floor is reached by a large stone staircase which takes its light from a newly refurbished roof window. On this floor there is a queen bedroom with a sink in the room, a twin bedroom, another double bedroom and a bathroom in the hallway with a bathtub and separate shower. Next to it, there is a second bathroom with shower. A hallway with wardrobe connects to the other two bedrooms. A four poster double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower and a twin bedroom which will share the hallway bathroom.

Wi-Fi internet connexion is available in the nearby owners' residence and they allow you to use it.

Castellina In Chianti

The original Chianti, the area between Florence and Siena, is the heart of Tuscany, traditionally identified with a thousand-year-old history of wine-making, gastronomy, artisanship and culture. At the very center of this area lies the Chianti Storico consisting of the three municipalities Radda in Chianti, Gaiole in Chianti, and Castellina in Chianti. People in this area have cultivated the land and made wine and olive oil at least since Etruscan times.

The undulating hills form small, protected valleys with a unique, mild microclimate, which has made this area attractive since Etruscan and Roman times. Here we find a special flora and fauna and this is the reason for the high-quality wine and food products from this area. More than half of the Chianti, however, is woodland, which makes it perfect for outdoor activities.

Festivals, concerts, museums, exhibitions, fairs offer a wide range of cultural entertainment. The central position of the Chianti Storico allows for comfortable daytrips to Florence, Siena, San Gimigniano and Montalcino.

Medieval castles, churches, fortified hamlets, villas and farmhouses are scattered all over, making just driving around an experience in itself. A network of partly unpaved country roads invites to explore this beautiful landscape on foot, by bicycle or on horseback.

The Chianti being one of the most famous wine regions in the world means that wine tasting is a key holiday experience, whether visiting local wine festivals, touring wine producers, visiting enoteche, or simply choosing among the many local wines to go with a meal.

Eating out in the many little family restaurants gives a chance to experience local food specialties first hand. The welcoming and friendly atmosphere, the traditional Chianti recipes and the consistent high quality of the seasonal products all contribute to an enjoyable and relaxing experience.

Accommodation ranges from very elegant, high-end luxury hotels or rental villas, over agritourism and farm holidays to family run bed and breakfasts. A warm welcome and personal treatment is assured in any case, and as everywhere in Italy children are more than welcome.
