The Yorkshire Dales is home to over 1,500 square kilometres of the renowned Yorkshire Dales National Park, which is characterised by its unspoilt Dales villages, patchwork of dry stone walls and stunning fells and dales countryside. Visitors are able to travel for miles along quiet country roads, surrounded by magnificent views in every direction; an area dotted with ancient farming communities and rural villages which is typical of this region. This area is perfect for a truly relaxing holiday away from all the stresses and strains of day to day life, where you rediscover a gentler pace of life. It's also great for enjoying a whole host of outdoor pursuits including some of the very best walks in the UK.

Hawes is the perfect destination to start your Dales holiday. The bustling market town has a weekly market, several good pubs, restaurants and shops, not to mention the visitor attractions including the popular Wensleydale Creamery, Dales Countryside Museum and Ropemakers. A short drive takes you into the villages of Wensleydale including Aysgarth with its spectacular waterfalls, and Askrigg, famous for its appearance as ‘Darrowby' in the TV series ‘All Creatures Great and Small'. A spectacular drive over the ‘Buttertubs Pass' towards Muker in neighbouring Swaledale is not to be missed. Also easily accessed are the towns of Leyburn, Ingleton and Richmond, making Old Station House a great base for touring the stunning Yorkshire Dales.
