Riverview is a stone built cottage situated on the banks of the river Dordogne with a large back garden that extends down to the river. The rear of the cottage is ideal for relaxing and sitting out with a glass of wine enjoying the tranquil setting and the patio area and BBQ are perfect for a leisurely meal with friends and family on those warm, still summer nights. There is plenty of garden front and rear for games and the solar heated pool is centrally placed above ground. Lockable steps improve safety for young children however the pool is large enough for a cooling dip in the long hot summer days. The front patio with sun beds and shades provides somewhere to relax whilst those young at heart swim or play with outdoor games provided.

The scenery is diverse ranging from dramatic rock faces with small villages perched on the rocks such as La Roque - Gageac on the way to Domme to the wide open vineyards around Bergerac and the route to Bordeaux through St Emillion. There are also numerous grottos where underground rivers have carved spectacular limestone caverns with evidence of pre-historic settlements and many Chateaux with beautiful gardens.
The pleasant climate makes it an ideal location for family holidays where you can spend leisurely days investigating the local markets overflowing with local produce such as cheese, foie gras , wine and fresh vegetables. The area is famous for walnuts, truffles, duck and goose products most produced on family farms.
