The Blagoevgrad Province region

Bansko is one of the most picturesque resorts for a Bulgarian holiday. It is situated in south western Bulgaria at the foot of the unique Pirin mountains which are a National Park included in the list of World Heritage sites. It is 160 kms from Sofia which has an abundance of historical sites and museums as well as a full range of amenities.

The town of Bansko is 920 mtrs above sea level with a skiing area being 2000 - 2900 mtrs above sea level.

Apartments A7 & A15 are located close to the gondola lift giving perfect access to the mountains. To ski in Bulgaria you have to visit Bansko.

During the winter season Bansko provides a wide variety of winter sports and activities and is classed as Bulgaria's best ski and snow-boarding resort. Perin mountains are alpine-type mountains with three mounts over 2900 mtrs. It is ideal for winter sports with ski runs of all difficulty levels which are well maintained and offer perfect conditions for those who enjoy winter sports. Conditions are good due to the long winter season and heavy snow falls which make a two metre high blanket of snow on the tracks.

Ski season starts in mid December and ends in mid April.

During summer months when temperatures average 28 degrees centigrade, there are numerous activities to be enjoyed, including hiking, mountain biking, white water rafting, rock climbing, horse riding, golf and fishing.

Bansko has an abundance of traditional taverns called Mehana which provide excellent cuisine and a good selection of Bulgarian wines, some also offer live folk music. There are also plenty of cafes and bars.
