There is plenty to do within the immediate locality. The Gateway Visitor Centre with Coots Cafe and The Old Boathouse gastro pub are within walking distance. Next door is Spa 6. Here you will find a truly tranquil setting with spa facilities and a full range of beauty treatments. Both the next door villages of South Cerney and Cerney Wick have traditional pubs which serve food. For a special meal we enjoy The Bell at Sapperton (24 minutes drive).

If you are looking for a more active holiday you can explore the local area on a network of paths. A map can be obtained from The Gateway Centre with footpaths, cycle and canal towpaths clearly marked.

There are numerous opportunities for water sports within the park and South Cerney Outdoor Education Centre (Lake 12, within walking distance) offers courses in various watersports. There is an 18 hole Pay and Play Golf course with a driving range in South Cerney.
