The Sandcastle is the perfect way to spend your vacation with family or friends.
Our home was created with a large group in mind from the seven-foot, black walnut, lazy-susan dining table (that we had to bring in by sea :) ) to the five large bedrooms, all with private baths. We even have a locker room style bathroom/shower off of the large game room on the ground floor.
We are one of the few screened-in porches on the island and you will fall instantly in love with rocking in the chairs while taking in the breathtaking views of the ocean that have made Holden Beach one of the most popular family beaches around.
We know how much we love having our furry friends with us on our vacation so we want you to have yours, too. Our home is pet-friendly and they love lounging around on the back porch, too.
We have stocked our home to help you forget about the busy life and fall in love with kicking off your shoes and getting back in touch with fun and relaxation. Our game room has Cable TV, Foosball, Ping-Pong, a card table and games while we also have four beach cruiser bikes for you to explore the island. Boogie boards and sand toys are here for the kids (ok, the adults too) and we even have a library of family friendly DVDs for the movie watchers. We love our beach house and we think you will too.

Holden Beach is a very special place for families, friends, and lovers (weddings are a common sight on the beach). There is night life close by if that is your desire, fresh sea food 'made to order' or sold on the island (brought in by the local fishermen) if you want to prepare a seafood feast at home in your fully equipped kitchen (see reviews).
Sandcastle is approximately 1 mile from the pier --- and only 40 paces from the sand and surf. If you want to venture out historic Southport is 19 mi; Old Baldy Lighthouse is just across the Cape Fear River from Southport; back at Holden Beach you can see her light from your rocking chair on a clear night. You can drive to Myrtle Beach, SC for entertainment or shopping. Historic Wilmington, NC is wonderful (pre-American Revolution)- see the Battle Ship of NC or take the boardwalk on the Cape Fear River. Eat at Elisha's, the Pilot House, or The Dock Street Oyster Bar (all local favorites) for a really good meal.
Of course,,, you can just opt to wind down, play and relax, marval at the wonders of nature and find a star! What ever you choose I promse you will take home a lifetime of special memories
