Located in East Ruston this superbly positioned and comfortable end terrace cottage has stunning views of the lake which is only yards away and attracts a variety of birds, including Kingfishers, a variety of ducks and geese ideal for bird watchers.

A truly peaceful setting for the fishing enthusiast, fishing is free and there are 2 further lakes which are fenced with otter proof fencing these can be fished with our free day permits, these lakes are for the serious angler this is a top class general specimen lake with very large roach, rudd, perch and bream which run to double figures, large tench and carp. Children need to be supervised at all times as the lake is 8ft in depth. Beautiful sandy beaches are only 3 miles away and they go as far as the eye can see.

Step out of your holiday home early in the morning or at dusk and find a quiet spot beside the water and you may see an otter, these are only seen in the lake directly behind the cottage as the two other lakes are fenced with otter fencing.

A pub serving food is within half a mile and nearby 'Weavers Way' offers 56 miles of National walkway to enjoy the picturesque countryside.

Stalham is two and a half miles for shopping and day boat hire or a little further to Wroxham.

Sandy beaches at Sea Palling or Mundesley within 3 miles. A perfect location for exploring Norfolk with Norwich, Great Yarmouth, The Broads and the Seaside all within easy reach.

Fishing at the cottage - The lake at Ruston Reaches offers family orientated and recreational fishing, the paths around the Silverfish Lake are mown weekly between Spring and Autumn.

Bait and tactics

Silverfish Lake: waggler with luncheon meat or fish maggots

Carp Lake: pole or waggler with meat, corn or pellet

In winter, we recommend a small feeder with maggot or single grain or corn for both lakes.

SItuated close to the Norfolk Broads and The beautiful Norfolk Coast. The broads are the most visited waterways in Europe with 125 miles of navigable rivers and broads, lovely for a day out on a canoe or day boat, all available nearby. The coast is only a short drive where you will find miles and miles of sandy uncrowded beaches.

Weavers Way is on your doorstep, this old railway line which is now a bridleway/footpath has 61 miles which you can walk, cycle or ride down.
