The Lazio region

Northen Lazio, characterized by lush vegetation, rolling hills and lakes, small hamlets and wonderful medieval towns.

The area is full of historic sites to visit from Etruscans tombs to Roman amphitheatres, from medieval castles to renaissance churches. It is also conveniently placed for trips into Tuscany and Umbria and of course Florence and Rome.

It is in a strategic position, being on the borders of Tuscany, Lazio and Umbria, for visiting historical and cultural sites since within one hour of the area you can reach an impressive range of hilltop towns, Etruscan ruins areas of great natural beauty.

Viterbo

Proceno is on the border of Lazio and Tuscany. In Lazio you have the Monte Rufeno Wildlife Reserve where there are paths for trekking and horse-back riding. Lake Bolsena is within easy reach. Then in Tuscany you have the thermal baths of San Casciano dei Bagni just a short drive away and Val d'Orcia with the spas of Bagni San Filippo and Bagno Vignoni are within easy reach.

The Acquapendente 9-hole golf course can be reached in under 15 minutes.
