Talsarnau is central for an excellent variety of activities: golf courses, pony trekking, walking and fishing. Snowdonia is less than an hour away and Harlech is only 15 minutes away.

The Dwyfor Ranch Rabbit farm and Animal Park is situated in the beautiful village of Llanystumdwy between the busy towns of Porthmadog and Pwllheli.on the Lleyn Peninsula, North Wales. For over 30 years the farm has welcomed visitors to interact with a wide range of farm animals including some rare breeds. Under adult supervision, the children are allowed to handle a selection of different types of animals including rabbits, guinea pigs and puppies, as well as hand-feeding many of the larger animals such as pigmy goats, alpacas, rhea, donkeys, ponies, pigs and lambs. You may see a wide variety of newly born animals or be lucky enough to witness a birth!
CHWAREL HÊN, LLANFAIR SLATE CAVERNS - The entry to this old but important slate mine is through the main tunnel, under the twin arches of the crypt, and into the lofty cathedral cavern. Remember that the tunnels and caverns you are about to see are all man made over a 100 years ago with only a candle for lighting.
Situated on the upper outskirts of the village of Talsarnau on a quiet lane to the tranquil Caerffynnon Hall Estate and the foot of a private wood with the ruins of an 11th Century look-out for all for your access whilst roaming. This peaceful coastal village has an Inn, car garage and is within easy driving distance to both the market town of Porthmadog (20 minutes) and the seaside village of Harlech (7 minutes). Steam train rides are available from Porthmadog all the way to the Snowdonia Mountains. The dramatic beauty of this area cannot be overstated, ideal for walking the hills and coast, touring, relaxing on the beaches and swimming in the sea or at the leisure centres.
