Allemans

Chauffour is located approximately 3kms inbetween the villages of St. Severin and Allemans where you can find bakeries, bars, postoffice, supermarket and lots more. You can walk or cycle from the doorstep on peaceful roads or follow the Cicuit of Roman Churches from Allemans and beyond. The river is less than 2kms away and a lovely place to have a picnic or hire a canoe from Riberac or Aubeterre and meander your way along the River Dronne. Aubeterre is officially one of the prettiest villages in France and hosts lots of lovely restaurants and cafes to soak up the french ambience. Aubeterre has a river beach so set up your chair next to the river and enjoy a good book. There are also beaches at St. Aulaye where there is also treewalking and waterslides.
