Villa Zephyrus is within a private community of residential properties located in an upmarket side of Chlorakas near the beach & sea. The villa (Zephyrus) is only a minute's walk (100m) from the Sea and coastline, and some beautiful coves for swimming and snorkelling. The property itself, is privately set on one level and characterised by the more than apparent attention to detail inside and out, making this a luxurious home from home for any discerning villa renter.
The property which overall extends to around 250 square metres, features private driveway with gates, 3 distinct sun terraces at alternate sides of the house (follow the sun as required) (1 with remote control awning), a privately enclosed roof terrace with great views to the Mediterranean, large living areas with ample seating, contemporary kitchen with stainless steel dressings, 2 double sized bedrooms with fitted wardrobes, guest cloakroom, bathroom with shower (mains sewage), individually designed hand crafted furniture throughout, high ceilings for coolness and full use of the unusually large infinity pool (on the sea's edge) which is shared by the small number of residents in this very protected environment. There really is too much to mention about the quality of this uniquely equipped Cyprus holiday villa.

"Thanks for this mail and your later message regarding the deposit return. We had a good stay at Villa Zephyrus; it is in a good location and very well equipped shame the weather was not typical for the first week of May. I have responded to your request for feedback below, sorry in not replying sooner but this week has been a bit hectic. Thanks again for your promptness in handling all of the booking stages.
The villa was Very spacious for 2 lovely choice of sitting areas to take advantage of Sun or avoid it as you wish. Well equipped to allow extensive self catering if required. Very good location in a peaceful development but close to all amenities. A hire car is recommended so that other areas of the Paphos region can be explored. Y&P hotel and restaurant in Latchi (Polis) excellant for fresh fish lunch. Very satisfied with the promptness of response to all aspects of the booking. Very happy to use service provided again. Excellant contact with local managers who were very happy to help with any issues.''
Paphos itself consists of two towns, each with its very own character. Ktima on the cliff (Upper Paphos) and Kato Paphos by the sea (Lower Paphos). One is virtually unchanged over the centuries and thoroughly Cypriot, while the other has expanded over the last decade from a sleepy fishing village and harbour, into a vibrant cosmopolitan resort which is expanding and improving each year.
In Kato Paphos, (in the archaeological park), you will find many fine mosaics and buildings from Greek and Roman periods, plus the Harbour Castle. Close by, is the church of St Paul's Pillar, where the pillar St Paul was tied to can be found. Further down this road are the Tombs of the Kings and Christian Catacombs.
Going towards the unspoilt Akamas Peninsula, there is Lara Bay, (famous for turtles) and Latchi, famous for its seafront and harbour restaurants as well as the clean sandy beach and its crystal clear waters.
The Paphos area hosts 4 golf courses which are all within 30 minutes drive from the villa. (Please ask us for further details).
Above Chloraka itself, lies the road to Tala with its atmospheric Village Square which then leads on to Tsada (for golf), Cedar Valley and the Troodos Mountains. The route is peppered with other small but charming villages along the way. There is an excellent highway which runs to all corners of Cyprus but the old coast road is the most scenic route. A drive along here past various ancient sites such as Aphrodite's Birthplace and Temple, towards Limassol, taking in Curium, is delightful and is littered with the most beautiful views.
The village of Chloraka is one of the biggest villages in the area, and ideally situated between Paphos and Coral Bay. It is spread over a large area and 2 distinct sides. The upper part is where many traditional and modern shops, restaurants, bars and amenities are located, the lower part (where Villa Zephyrus is located) is much more residential, peaceful and serene with the beach and Sea close by and many large luxurious properties scattered throughout. The local Hotel (Akti) (800m) provides some good amenities to the area with restaurant, mini-market and a bar with Sky TV. There is also the newly improved Bar Dimma (250m) for meals, snacks and drinks which has both indoor and outdoor seating, a swimming pool and Sky TV also. Less than 750m away is the 'Pentaras' restaurant with an extensive and traditional menu to suit all tastes.
A marooned shipwreck provides an interesting landmark in this area and when walking along the beach at dusk, the sun can sometimes set directly behind the shipwreck creating a very dramatic scene which would not be out of place in a Hollywood movie.
**Please note that the beach is a mixture of rock & shingle with sandy pockets in various spots along the coast. The main tourist beaches are at Paphos and Coral Bay (please contact us for a map showing where all beaches are in the Paphos area)**
The tourist areas of both Paphos and Coral Bay are about 10 minutes away by car in either direction, the latter having the beautiful Coral Bay Beach, a beach suitable for all the family as well as a diverse range of bars, restaurants and cafes to suit all tastes. A newly laid coastal path allows pleasant walking in either direction towards Paphos harbour to the East and Coral Bay to the West. There are many hotel bars and cafes along the way.
A regular bus service is available at the main road. Buses travel all around Paphos and surrounding villages. The current deal of a day pass is 2 euros making this a great value way to see around the area.
