My home from home is a peaceful haven to relax and get away from it all.
With pine woods on 2 sides, an apricot farm in front and the drive on the other, it is a private haven to relax in the gardens or chill by the pool and watch the sun go down on the mountains. Collect herbs from the woods for your cooking and a lemon for your drinks, then siesta by the pool. Or enjoy a book from our small library.
It's only 10 minutes from an excellent road network so it is quick and easy to get to many interesting sites in this part of Spain, whether it's real Spain you're after or the Costa's. One of the national pastimes in Spain is walking. Take one of the many guided walks around the mountains, from a short stroll to a long walk visiting lakes and historic churches and monuments. The area also has many cycling routes and you will see many of the locals out on their bikes. But when you want more, the excellent road network is only a 10 minute drive away, so beaches and cities can be reached quickly.
The town of L'Olleria is a typical Spanish town and has everything you would need, shops, bars, cafes, hospital etc..
The cheap rail network is only 15 minutes away, so get to Valencia for only 6 euros. Valencia has everything you would expect from a city, from the many arts and science museums to the highly acclaimed Bioparc (reputedly one of the best zoos in Europe) But there are many other towns and villages which are also worth a visit.
All bedding and towels are provided including towels for lounging around the pool on the sunbeds. There is a solar shower at the pool that will give you hot water. Ideal for showering in the open air. The kitchen comes with ample crockery and cutlery, (not just one of each) and a small welcome pack to get you started on your holiday.
There is air conditioning in the lounge and hall. The bedrooms are fitted with ceiling fans and all the windows have fly screens to allow the windows to be open at night. The ensuite and family bathrooms have showers only, no bath.
There is a paellero for you to cook outside using the plentiful supply of wood from the woods or with charcoal from the supermarket.
Debs, the manager, will meet you out of town and escort you to the house where she will be happy to answer any questions and can advise you where to go to get the most out of your holiday. She is only a phone call away, if you have any problems.

This area of Spain is the real Spain where shops still close in the afternoon and restaurants serve authentic Spanish food at low prices. Lunch is 2 - 5pm and almost all will have a "menu del dia" consisting of 3 courses, bread and bottle of wine (or other drink) for 8 - 10 euros. Dinner starts at 9pm when the shops close. There are many interesting sites to see including ancient castles and churches, museums etc.
Little English is spoken here but if you attempt a few words of Spanish, you will find everyone very helpful.
You are 30 minutes from the coast, 30 minutes from the vineyards and 30 minutes (by train) to Valencia and only 10 minutes to bar, cafes, castles and churches.
The town of L'Olleria is a typical Spanish town with all the ammenities you would expect, shops, cafes, bars, hospital etc and a few ancient churches. It is close to the excellent road network, so the towns of Xativa and Bocairent, and the coastal resorts of Gandia and Cullera are easily reached. The equally excellent rail network, means that Valencia is only 7 euros away.
The house is 5 minutes drive from the town and set amongst the wooded hillside of the campo. Other houses which are mainly owned by Spanish families as holiday homes, are dotted around. So, although the house is private, you will not feel isolated. The Spanish love their early evening walks and the immediate countryside has many signposted walks, from short strolls to long treks, or you can just set off on your own route.
A 30 minute drive, and you are in the wine country. Visit one of the many vineyards for a tour and sample their wines.
