Glenhinnisdal is a traditional crofting community located in a scenic and peaceful highland Glen. Set at the heart of the glen, Trotternish Cottage has lovely views across open countryside, and has the mountains of the Trotternish Ridge forming a dramatic backdrop.

This desirable holiday cottage has been beautifully refurbished and modernised, whilst retaining much of the character and charm of a traditional island croft house. Sleeping up to 6 people it is ideally suited for families or group of friends.

The big entrance porch is ideal for leaving your wet coats and boots, perhaps after a day walking the ridge? The hall area leads through to the cosy sitting room with wood burner and welcome basket of logs.

The bright, sunny kitchen, with impressive five burner range cooker has with ample facilities for both cooking and dining. From here, the back door leads out to the well maintained back garden where there is outdoor furniture, barbeque and lots of private space alfresco dinning.

Also downstairs there is an adult bunk room, and shower room with walk in shower, W/C and wash hand basin. The upper floor of the cottage has a further spacious shower room as well as a double bedroom and king-size double bedroom. There is a sofa bed located in one of the double bedrooms for parents who would prefer young children to share the same room.

Glenhinnisdal is an area of great natural beauty, with an abundance of wildlife, including the eagles which can be seen flying overhead regularly. Also included with weekly bookings is a day's free fishing permit on the nearby River Hinnisdal or Loch Mhor and with a two week booking either a £20 petrol voucher or two day's free fishing.

The nearest shop/pub/restaurant are in the pretty harbour village of Uig is a short drive away, and is where ferries sail to the Outer Hebrides. Portree, is twelve miles away and has everything you'd need from restaurants, to shops, the harbour with fresh fish, banks, a cinema, free internet access in the library and a swimming pool.
